Icon5 DVC & Groceries

I am fairly new to these posts I have been "lurking" for a while but since I have not found my answer I thought I would post .....

When you order groceries do they deliver to your room before you arrive or is it left at the front check in for you?

Thanks to anyone who can help......

Re: DVC & Groceries

Hi and welcome to DC! We've never ordered groceries, but it's my understanding that they will be put into your suite before you arrive. We have a DVC DVD (that's a lot of D's and V's!) and it explains how you can order your groceries and shows a castmember putting them away in the suite. Things might have changed since then - but maybe someone else will definitely know. Anyway, nice to have you join us.

Re: DVC & Groceries

We usually get our stuff at Publix's. Its the general store in the area. Very reasonable on prices. We typically get the basics. Butter, bagels, coffee and quick morning stuff. Every year we say were going to cook more while at the villa and never do. We end up having our big meals in the parks.

Welcome to DC. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to ask any questions about WDW you can think of. Also, make use of the review sections which review all of the restaurants throughout WDW. They're very helpful.

Re: DVC & Groceries

Like the others, I am pretty sure it is delivered directly to your room at DVC resorts. All Disney Vacation Club resorts also have a small store to buy additional grocery items.

I pre-ordered a Winn-Dixie discount card on-line a couple of years ago, and drive over there to shop for my weeks worth of grocercies. One note of caution, Winn-Dixie recently filed for bankruptcy and is closing a lot of its stores. You would want to double check to see if they are still open in Orlando shortly before your trip. Have fun!

Re: DVC & Groceries

There is a Piggly-Wiggley close by (last time I looked) and a Publix.
