Buying points. Is there a minimum?
We just bought into SSR with 160 points. Our thought was that we can always buy more points if we need them. But in reading other posts I am still a little unsure about the minimum number of points you can add. Can any of you shed some light on this?

Once you have made your initial purchase at a resort, you can add on any number of points you want. I think they do have a minimum, but it is like 30 or so. If you want to buy at another resort through Disney, I think you have to start over.

If you buy resale, you can buy however many points are up for sale. For example, I bought resale and own 60 points at Vero Beach. Through Disney, it's a 150 pt. minimum. I have full membership in DVC, and am treated like any other member. Here are some resale websites:

Just double checked my planner for you. The minimum to add on if you are paying cash for those points is 25. The minimum if you are financing those points is 50.
I added on 50 but charged half on my Disney visa and mailed them a check fro the rest. |
