WELL, it's semi-official!!! I am a NEW DVC MEMBER!!!!
The paperwork has been signed, check is in the mail, agreement notarized, temporary membership card issued, and everything has been sent back via FedEx!!!!
Sooooo......  Guess who is the NEWEST and MOST EXCITED DC Disney Vacation Club Member.... MMMMEEEEEEEE!!!!! YAY!!!! You have NO idea, this has been a TWO YEAR decision in the making and it feels SO GOOD to finally do it!!! I purchased 160 points and my rep told me today that I can make my first reservations TOMORROW!!!! So the next step for me is to make the DL res. for June and the WDW res. for August then cancel the ones I had already made before. So, that's it!!! Supposedly it takes 4-6 weeks to become "completely official" and in my paperwork it said my "estimated closing date" is March 6th, 2006. Although, it's great that they let me make all my reservations and start using my account on disneyvacationclub.com!!!! Ooooo, and they even sent me an adorable "Disney Vacation Club Member" totebag! hehe!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! This is HUGE for me!!!                PS: this is the dance I am doing....... hehe......

Thank you!!! I have SO much paperwork to read. I should REALLY be doing that right now. haha. I am just too excited though, I had to share it with my friends who would appreciate the news most, here on DC!
PS: people in the "real world" whom I tell are like "Disney Vacation Club?? oh, great."  haha. Everyone in my family is really excited about it though, probably b/c they know I will stop whining about the decision now. haha

Congrats Wish & Welcome Home!! It too took us a couple years to take the plunge, and now we are telling all of our friends (and anyone else that will listen) to jump in on the great deal too. It's the best thing we've done...DSis tried to talk us into it years ago, but I just didn't know how we could swing it. But it's been fine and the trips are great. You'll love walking up to your resort, telling them your name and them handing you the keys to the room....no room bills, no credit card deposits, no taxes, no anything but a beautiful room and great views! You won't regret it!!
