We stayed at SSR in May 2005 in room # 3732 (studio) and it was really close to the bus stop, had a "water" view, close to the pool, and food court. It was really a great location.
Thank you BDavis! Those photos are great and actually it may be a good thing for me b/c it will bring me back to my one stay at the Disney Institute, hehe. Which was what some of those building USED to be.

That was my next question. What should I request? Do you remember the name of the building? Your room sounded great!!! I LOVE being close to everything, in fact, the closer to the lobby, main pool, SPA, & "Artist's Palette" the better.

Re: Well, I guess no Boardwalk for me.

Sorry you could not get your first choice. My boss has been a DVC member for many years and they have not been able to get into OKW yet. And they go to WDW twice a year every year and sometimes more. SSR looks very nice, looks like we will be there in October. We have been thinking about switching at the 7 month mark but then again we are thinking about DVC and if we do it will be at SSR so we may just stay there. Good Luck! I am sure they are all beautiful!

The section we stayed in is called "The Springs"...

Maybe it's a good thing you didn't get your first choice...maybe SSR will become your dream resort, and you'll be so glad you were 'forced' to try it!

I think you'll have fun no matter where you go! You ARE Wish, after all!

Re: Well, I guess no Boardwalk for me.

Sorry you didn't get your first choice. When we spoke to our DVC rep, he said if you don't book BWV studio standards at the 11 month window, you probably will never get one. I've been a member for 4 years and have never been able to get one, even during hurricane season. We just stayed at SSR and it's nice, you should like it.

Hey Wish, too bad you didn't get your number one but SSR looks AMAZING!!!
I took a look at some of the SSR websites and photos and........WOW!
EEEEeeee! I can't wait to meet you in August!
I'd get on the phone ASAP trying to book your 2nd trip for Food and Wine though, sounds like they fill up fast!

(boy I hope in a few years once I have a stable job I can join DVC too, it just keeps sounding better and better!)

Re: Well, I guess no Boardwalk for me.

Sorry for the bummer news, Wish! But just think, you'll have the next 49 years to plan at BWV!! And, any disney vaca is a great one!
