Extend DVC Member Services hours?

Currently the DVC Member Services hours are:

M-F: 9am - 5:30 pm
Thursday: 9am - 7pm
Sat. & Sun.: closed

Considering that members use "Member Services" to take care of nearly EVERYTHING on their account; booking trips, special requests, banking points, borrowing points, etc.. I personally am suprised that it has such limited hours.

Maybe its just me but it's REALLY hard for me to get to the phone for more than 3-5 minutes on a weekday at work and by the time I get home and get settles they are closed! Then, i can't even call them on Saturdays!

I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar thoughts on the hours?

Personally, I think they should be open from 8am-7pm every weekday and maybe 8am-12pm on Saturday. i think that seems more fair to those of us with working schedules.

I'm not even a DVC member, but I like to call to confirm my rented reservation every once in awhile and it's a pain to have to remember to call while I'm at work! Even then, I sometimes have trouble actually reaching someone.

I'm not a member either, but as a several time renter, I'd like to see those hours extended.

I voted to at least add some weekend hours. Seriously, what hospitality business now a days does not offer any weekend hours.

I was surprised that they don't work weekends. It is usually the time when I want to make reservations. However when they are there, in my experience you couldn't ask for a more friendly service.

Mickeym1: Yep, they are more than friendly when you get through and will make every effort to offer a magical experience every time you do get through.

I agree Wish! I have a hard time calling in those hours and some hours into the evening and Saturday morning would be great!

It's funny that member services is unavailable on weekends, but DVC is giving tours to would be members. If they don't want to have the member service employees working weekends, have someone at the DVC preview center taking call for a few hours. Just my opinion.

With banker's hours like that I would hope they would be happy enough to give you that REALLY friendly service.

One thing I do is make sure that if there is a survey, make sure you hold on the line and take the survey.

The last question on the survey is something like "how would you like to make the reservation in the future"? The last choice is "internet".

Always take the survey and choose the internet.

Hopefully, Disney will do for dvc members what they do for dvc hotel renters, allow them to check or book rooms.

It would greatly decrease the amount of time that people would spend just waiting to find out if something was available.

I don't even own DVC, but I am REALLY surprised at the hours...or lack thereof!!!

I voted they should at least have a few hours on Saturday. And they should be open a LITTLE later at night!!!

I own timeshare and I can reach them EVERY SINGLE DAY from 9a-9p. The only department I can't get in touch with on weekends, is the Mortgage Dept, which doesn't matter to me since I don't have a mortgage anyway!

Because we're an hour behind Florida, we usually don't have a problem calling first thing in the morning, but I still think they should extend the hours. As members of DVC we've invested a lot of money in Disney and I think it would be nice if we had a few special privileges and perks.

I would personally like to see some Saturday hours. I have a difficult time calling during the work day. Especially if they put me on hold.
