renting points question
After reading the thread on renting, I was wondering that if I want to try to rent from someone on here, would the person I am renting from be able to rent from any of the DVC resorts(pending availability)? Or, is there going to be a set resort.
The reason I ask, is that I am hoping to take DW to WDW for our second anniversary next Dec. and I would like to take her to WL to make it more special. If there is someone here who would be willing to work out something to rent points to me for the WL villas, it is something I would like to discuss with that person. Mind you, after reading the other renting thread, MBers would be the people I trust to rent with  Tanks to anyone who can shed light on this!

Are you thinking about this December or next year? DVC resorts are pretty full for December and I've read a lot of people are wait listed for a studio at WL, Beach Club, and Boardwalk.
DVC owners can book at their home resort at 11 months out and all ohter DVC resorts at 7 months out.

I am thinking of December next year cuz we are already going this year with my folks to celebrate our anniversary and my mom's bday. At least I know I have some time to see about renting points

In that case you will be fine. If you find a DVC member who owns at WL they will be able to book at 11 months out, everyone else will have to wait until 7 months out to book and the studios tend to be full in December so book as early as you can.

and many of the places have limited rooms for larger groups. if you plan on taking a lot of people, try finding someone who has points in the resort of your choice.
