2007 Fees SSR

We purchased 150 points at the SSR last December. I got my bill for my annual maitenance fees. My monthly fees are $67 per month. This is almost double the amount quoted in the sales pitch. Does this amount seem right to you guys??

Let me know.

Re: 2007 Fees SSR

I am thinking that is right, isn't it based on how many points you have?

Re: 2007 Fees SSR

I believe it's $4.00+ per point so that seems close. I have been considering DVC but this "maintenance fee" is preventing me from doing so. I can stay in a moderate for a week for almost the same amount in maintenance fees, not to mention the cost of the membership.

Re: 2007 Fees SSR

Alright, well I have 160 at SSR and I pay once per year. Just sent out the check actually, it was $563.55. Divide that by 12 months, that would be $46.96 a month. I would call member accounting if I were you tomorrow because $67. per month would be for A LOT more points than 150, something is wrong there.

Re: 2007 Fees SSR

I looked over the statement again. My SSR fees are $454.39 for the 2007 year. My property taxes are $164.06. Maybe my monthly payment is a combination of these 2 items???? I will try and call again tomorrow. I tried earlier but sat on hold for a long while and gave up.

I would call the financing department directly. The property tax thing sounds weird to me because when I break down my annual dues payment of $563.55 it ends up being $3.52 a point, which sounds right for SSR. Plus, if your property taxes are $164 per year that shouldn't account for an additional $20per MONTH for 12 months. Yeah, call member financing directly. I hope you get it worked out!

According to the DVC info on allearsnet, the dues are $4.12 per point at SSR for 2007.

Weird, them how come my annual dues bill was $563.55? If it were $4.12 per point then my bill would have been $659.20. And, in relationship to rshenry's bill... it STILL wouldn't be $67 a month. This is so very strange.

Re: 2007 Fees SSR

We bought 300 points in November. Our January bill was higher since they added a pro-rated fee for the remainder of 2006. Go to the website and check. Maybe that is why your bill was higher and your remaining months of 2007 would be lower.

They didn't tell you that you have to pay fellow MBer fees for the first year?

It's most likely just what JKing says. But never hurst to call member services - they are friendly.
