Re: DVC Analysis

We agree. It is not a bad financial decision but certainly a better one made with your heart. We have never regretted the move.

I can tell you what we thought when we bought in. We like the rooms, the size, the transporatation to/from the parks, and the Disney service. If you look at what a hotel will cost you five years from now you will see that prices as we know will only climb and that does not include transportation to/from parks. Also, you can transfer out and the rooms at the other hotels are relatively just as expensive and I am confident that as the years pass they will become more expensive as well. I feel like I have locked in a price and I am good with that.

I too agree that it is a decision made with the heart as well. I see it as I don't smoke, don't gamble, don't drink, this is really my one bid splurge that I have done tuely for me! I deserve it!

Thanks Skwak,

Interesting and reassuring article.

Thanks Skwak!

Re: DVC Analysis

The article raises a point that is relevant to us and that is due to the length of our stay 21- 28 nights the amount of points we would need to cover that would be astronomical, the 160 base points would no where near cover that-plus we have to take into consideration the soaring long haul fuel charges too-in fact we would be better off considering buying a permanent property in the Orlando area making good use of the strong pound that we can use all year round.
