I just saw this on Mouseplanet. I have not read it all yet but it looked good and certainly something that is often discussed here.

swak, thank you for posting this! I have been toying with the idea of DVC, but this just puts it all into perspective and for us, that is not the right thing. I could never get my guys to go every year or even every two years. I know, I could sell the points, blablabla, but it just drove it home for me that I am going to always be a Hotel guest.

Skwak, this is an excellent article and very accurate with its math. I found it very informative and reassuring with my own calculations.

Thanks for the info! Like Dopey, it reinforced that DVC is not right for us. We just bought a camper, so it looks like that will be my lodging for a while!

Same here...no idea how I can possible afford that right now...yeah I know it pays for itseld blah blah, but who knows how long I can keep going there every year with high school and college coming up for DD...

Very good points... I feel very financially blessed, but I still just cannot quite commit to DVC... yet...

Well if I hit the mega millions (370 million dollars) in 40minutes, I am going to go for it..lol

Dream yes....I don't even know where I would start to spend that kind of money, but it would be sure fun to try. I would most definately buy DVC...many points at AKL. Thats the only way it would happen for me..lol
