Going to rent DVC points for 2008...where should we stay?
Hi, guys! I think I FINALLY convinced DH to go again next year!!!!!!
 We will probably be going the last week of November, or the first week of December. I just LOVE Disney during the holidays!!!! So......my question is this. WHICH DVC Resort should we choose and WHY? Here are the choices: 1 - AKV (not likely anyone will be giving up their points yet...but ya never know) 2 - WLV 3 - BWV 4 - BCV We have stayed at SSR and OKW before and want to try something new. I asked my 6 year old DS where he would like to stay, and he said BOARDWALK. DH really liked AKL when we ate dinner at Boma in August. I was thinking WLV due to its proximity to MK....ugh  , decisions, decisions!!!!HELP!

I am going to go with Wilderness Lodge Villas or AKL Villas. You love the holidays and both resorts are so comfy & wonderful during that time. Beautiful trees, decor, fireplaces, etc.
I know a lot of people are going to say Beach Club Villas but you know what, I've been a DVC member for 2 years now and I've never been able to get into that dang place not being a "home member." I would put it on "waitlist" maybe but don't make it your first choice. PLUS, all the experience I've had with all the bus sharing between Boardwalk, the Swalphin, and Y/BC it's so much better to stay somewhere isolated like AKL or WLV. Any which way you'll have a blast!! PS: we stayed at the WLV last January and LOVED it, having the boats to MK and it's close proximity to it & all the MK resorts was just the BEST!! Not to mention Roaring Forks was such a good "quick service" (you must try their chilli), the pool & sauna are so relaxing, and you have a couple great 'home' table service restaurants to choose from.

My first choice would be WLVillas. The gorgeous fireplaces, the relaxing atmosphere, and the decorations are going to be so awesome!!! Also, love the boat ride to MK and FW
My 2nd choice would be Beach Club because of it's walking distance to EPCoT.

They're all nice resorts but at that time of year I would pick WLV. From what I've read and seen the resort is just beautiful at the holidays.

We resort hopped last Christmas just to see the decorations. We said if we could ever afford it, WL would be our first choice just based upon the holiday atmosphere. It was beautiful!!

You can't beat the location of the Epcot resorts.
That being said, I would choose where ever the home resort is of the points you rent and get the owner to book your room right at the 11 month window. The first week of December is one of the busiest for DVC members and if you wait too long, it will be hard to get a room. So I would book early, just for peace of mind. |

My first choice would be AKV, second would be WLV.
After that, it doesn't matter. Glad you talked DH into going again
