I am reviewing this resort, as a friend of mine is serious about buying. I wanted to know what is the cost in points for resorts outside of Disney and for booking tours (like Adventures with Disney European Tours), and cruises. She is buying resale so any tips on that process would be helpful.

Oh yeah, thats one of the beauties of DVC. Lots of options. You can also trade for weeks at thousands of timeshares all over the world.

As far as cost are you talking in DVC points or actual $$$ per point. And there are two ways to look at the cost per point each year. Some people say $10 per point based on what seems to be the going rental rate. Me, I like to keep it simple and figure the annual fee on the point which is $4-5.50 depending on where you own. The real number is somewhere in between.

I find that staying outside a DVC resort is more expensive, but when you look at the annual cost on the points required it's still WELL below rack rates.
