That's pretty awesome, Leslie. It sounds like a great idea if you're traveling alot and don't really want to repack everything time and time again!!

I'm glad your experience was so good with it!

Thanks Erin- I know there's lots more interesting stuff to post about! But I figured we would be the Mousebuzz guinea pigs.

Re: Owner's Lockers

HMMM, this is REALLY interesting. I always complain about packing my own hairdryer, extra hangers, light jacket, extra shoes, beach towel, etc. I could put all of that stuff in the locker! I would also love to store some full-sized bath products. We try to do carry-on only A LOT and we are always stuck bringing the tiny stuff & many times I go without my favorite products b/c of the 3 oz. rule.

Hmmm, I am REALLY going to have to think about this! I always like to have extra paper products too.

Does anyone have approximate dimensions on the container or pictures even?

Re: Owner's Lockers

OK, I just checked out their website and it does sound like a great concept. ALTHOUGH, I can get over the $75. initial fee and the $99. annual fee BUT I am SOOO not going to pay $25. for every extra trip per year. That's a little excessive in my opinion. The $99/year fee should include up to 3 trips per year. If we take 3 trips to WDW in the first year of signing up we'd have to pay a total of $224.00. Yeah, no thanks, if they made it $99/year for up to 3 trips I'd be in. I'd also consider the "premium annual plan" if it was $150/year, not $179.

This is from the website:

"There is a one time Membership Fee to join Owner's locker of $75.00 (which includes your Locker and your initial Visit) and a yearly storage/delivery plan which you choose. The Standard Annual Plan costs $99.00 per year and includes storage in our climate controlled warehouse and one free Visit per year. Additional Visits are $25.00 each. The Premium Annual Plan includes storage and unlimited deliveries. It costs $179.00 per year."

We're thinking the same way. Like you, we would do this if we could get 3 visits for the $99. There was a special on the DIS where you got 2 visits a year for life I believe. I don't know if it's still going on but you could check.

Re: Owner's Lockers

I joined during a special promotion for $25, which was a deciding factor. I also get two free visits per year for three years for $99. So, at that price, I thought it was really worth a try. Mousesavers had one of the hot deals, as well.

Re: Owner's Lockers

I've heard the advertisements for Owner's Locker on the WDWRadio podcast and Mousestation Podcast. The special they were running through MousePlanet and the Mousestation podcast was if you sign up, you get a $50 shopping spree, where you send a list to Owner's Locker, and they go shopping for you, so your locker has items of your choosing in it when you arrive. I'm not sure of the end date of this promotion.

I've also wondered about the value of this for the price. Maybe now that some airlines (American for one) has reduced the weight (50 lbs) and number of checked items (1 bag) you can take, this would be more economical?

American just announced they are now charging for checked baggage. I'm glad we'll be able to have carry-on only.

Re: Owner's Lockers

Well, we leave in two days and we are all packed. It honestly took me less than 10 minutes- I printed out the online inventory list from my locker, and packed what we needed for the three of us. Our stuff fits into two backpacks No baggage charges here!!
