When people ask me about DVC one of the top questions I get is always related to annual dues. Since all DVC resorts have different annual dues rates it can get confusing so when I found this chart I thought it was REALLY helpful. You can see every resort's annual dues from the beginning & hopefully that will be helpful to anyone trying to decide whether to join or not, go re-sale, etc. I thought it was also pretty interesting to look at as a current member too:

As much as people "knock" SSR, they do seem to keep the rates lower there. It may be the simplicity of the construction, I am not sure.

That was one of the big things our DVC sales rep talked about: the lower annual rates at SSR. I wonder if the AKV ones will go down once they get Kidani Villiage completed? You would think that the maintenance on a brand new building would not be that much, but maybe they are factoring in making some of the construction costs back through the fees.

I do not know but I imaging that SSR is made from materials that are easier to maintain than AKV or VWL. I am not sure if that is why there is such a difference but it sounds like a good theory, huh?
