What things should I bring that you have felt were either not enough or not provided or whatnot-
Where do I find a room list of supplies? I have packed coffee and creamer and snacks- do I need coffee filters? Do I need to bring things like shampoo and soap?
Im down to the last of my list now- What should I bring for my new "home"

Umm, I've honestly never felt like I was really missing much. If you have space in anyone's suitcase packing a few extra towels doesn't hurt. I find Daniel and I sometimes desperate for new towls by the time they come to refill mid-week.

I don't drink coffee but I am pretty sure I see coffee filters near the machine everytime. They don't include a WHOLE lot of paper plates & bowls so if you are planning on eating breakfast in the room, or need those for snacks it doesn't hurt to bring a package of those either.

Don't go crazy though, DVC rooms have always felt pretty well-equipped to me.

Maybe I am a little Obsessive compulsive about this, but I am going to say do not forget the Lysol spray and Antibacterial cleaning wipes. I know, I know, we should trust Disney and their Mousekeepers, but I am a better safe than sorry type of Gal.. and it is getting cleaned by ME, before used by my family. Not to mention, when you get into the room, you can spray things like door handles, head boards, phone, etc.

We have the dorkman towels all packed, I never thought of the paper plates. I will pack them now- I might toss in a few filters too just in case. How about the shampoo and soap situation? I have packed the laundry soap and such. I have not started with toiletries yet though because the kids would notice things like soap and hairbrushes missing.

I always pack my own shampoo and soap but my hair & skin are just too sensitive for the unexpected. They do include the normal "Disney-sized" soaps & shampoos in the DVC rooms like at regular resorts but they have to last, they obviously aren't refilled everyday.

Ehh, get a few of those travel-sized ones. A couple for the kids & an additional one for whatever you and Ed might share. Can't hurt.

Hmmm- I think Ill just pack the 2 in 1 pantene- the body soap the kids would like to use there but 6 of us sharing those little bottles of shampoo might not be a great thing at all!
How about hairdryer? is that included at all?

The hairdryers in the room do work alright, they are those ones attached to the wall next to the vanity. You are asking the wrong person about hairproducts though, I come armed with my own hairdryer, flat iron, velcro curlers, hair bonnet, etc....

My mother has taught we one thing about bringing things on long vacations! You can NEVER overpack or overanticipate the things you will need! Especially being so far from home and considering how many of us there are and having little ones and what not! How old are your children? I might be able to give you a little insight in experiences we've had. Because afterall kids normally are the ones we need the most for! Also, what resort are you staying at-- I can tell you whats there and what you'll need! Also, you won't need to bring shampoo or soap if you care for the shampoo and soap they provide, and if they dont give you enough, you can always ask for more, but my family brings theyre own amenities like that; toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, things like that!

I have a master list that I have added to over the years, and I never feel like I have forgotten anything, and I always feel at easy that i'm prepared for anything! If you'd like I can reply with that list! Let me know!

I used to be that way- then kids happened!
Now my time is spent making sure that little girls hair has no "blumps" in it and making sure that Nicky has done SOMETHING with his... Oh and then there is making sure that Parker and Drake are wearing the right shoes and someone changed Drake into his big boys and out of his pullups! UGH! Im lucky if I even get a shower!

Woohoo, I honestly don't pack any differently for A DVC vacation than a trip where we stay in a regular room. We take all the things we would need for a weekend in a hotel in any city. I'm too picky about soap, shampoo, hairdryer, lotion, and any other personal type item so I pack all my own stuff.

It would be nice if there were two of everything soap like left in th room. I cant believe that one of everything would be enough for any family if they actually used the stuff.

I would pack or buy on the way there anything that you use normally. They provide stuff to clean with etc (dish soap etc).

Funny how all your "free" time disappears. I remember the no shower days.
