New DVC special deals -- arrived today!
This is tempting.
A new mailer that arrived today has a bunch of free stuff for adding AKV points to your membership (as little as 100 points). The incentives are: - A complimentary WDW or DL vacation (100 or more developer points) - A prepaid gift card of $500 or more, based on how many points you buy - A Disney gift card with $8 per point you buy. So I think it means that for 100 points, you'd get 100 extra developer points and $1300 in gift cards. The deal ends September 20, 2008. You have to get in touch with your guide for more scoop, because I am just describing what I got and I am not a guide...

I didn't get anything.
 Of course I don't have any money for more points but that's beside the point.Has anyone heard about cost for BLT? On another board there is talk about points costing a lot more than the other DVCs. But again, it's not like we are buying more anytime soon, but one can dream. |

I just finalized that deal for myself yesterday.
We were adding points anyways and the offer was too good to pass up! Those gift cards, combined with the one we got with our first contract, are paying for our tickets and spending money this upcoming trip! |

Hmmm...DH finally acknowledged that maybe we would actually save more money by buying into DVC this year then constantly paying OOP. Maybe something like this could be a nudge in that direction....
