Transfer points to another member question
It is a few years away but I am hoping to make plans for a big shinding for my 40th birthday. When the time comes, I am hoping to be able to book GV at OKW (cheapest points). If things work out, I would like to book 3 nights there. However, we have a 50 point contract and with banking and borrowing the year before nad the year after that will give us 150 points, but a GV would be 153 for that amount of time.
Is it possible for another member to transfer points to me to make up that balance. I would of course be happy to pay the going rate for point rental. I think this can be done but I am not 100% sure. Can anyone give me a definite answer please? Thanks

Yes, it can be done but members are limited to one transfer (either in or out) per year. Your best bet is going to be to find someone who has just a few points left they can't use.

Thanks DT, it will be a couple more years til I really go nuts with planning it, and who knows, maybe I will come into money and be able to purchase more points before then

Steph is right - only 1 in or out which really limits transfers. I'd keep an eye out for another small contract. You can also add on 25 points for cash or 50 financed.

depending on the situation at the time, I will have to see what is going on, if we can afford to buy more points than we definitely will. Otherwise I may have to pare down my invite list for the big 4-0
