My guess is that, like all things Disney, they are trying to micro-manage the sales of DVC resorts (and I truly mean that in the most respectful way!!!), so they try to sell off as much of the current resort before they announce the next one. Otherwise, too many people might wait to buy into DVC until the new resort is open for purchase. Bay Lake will be hugely popular, so I think they probably want to continue selling AKL and SS until the BLT is ready to roll out.

Do you mean what's the big deal about the new tower? If so..

I think the biggest draw is location, it's just about as close to the MK as possible without sleeping on Space Mountain's roof. It will be a brand new & sparkling resort, and if rumors pan out it sounds like their COULD be a private fireworks viewing location on the roof for DVC members staying there. It is a really big deal because this will be first DVC resort with monorail access too! But we still don't know 'FOR SURE' that it really IS going to be a DVC tower.

I recommend that you have legal services draw up a limited POA for the purposes of buying/selling/leasing DVC. Disney will require a copy to record but you'll get the original back. I'd have several copies signed then send one to your guide for the file also. MAKE SURE you ask DVC for the EXACT wording on how to make the signature for hubby - i.e. sign his name, by your name, Power of Attorney. Each state can be a little pickey on the actual wording.

Great advice, I will do. Thank you very much!!
