Bay Lake Tower, who's planning their first stay? - Page 7

Fuuny thing is that I checked the disneyworld site a day after I booked and there were studios at BLT with MK views, but I couldnt get one with using our DVC points. I'm assuming that all the DVC rooms that are put aside are gone and that the cash rooms are available. Humm interesting..

It's been a while sense I've been on and I don't have time to read the whole thread, so I have to ask. Do you all know you can book as early as August now? We called to book at VWL for the last week of August. When we mentioned we were going to a convention at the Contemporary and wanted to use our points instead of paying for the room, she said we can stay there it's ahead of schedule. So now we'll be staying there! So excited. I actaully wasn't going to be able to go unless we did DVC instead. Now I am and I may be able to take my DD and have a friend come with her daughter and watch her while we're in the convention.
I'm so excited. I've avoided MB because I didn't think I'd be able to visit for a LONG time. Now I'm heading there and maybe DD too! WOOHOO!!!!!

Yeah we have a couple members staying at blt in august! I am glad you got it, congrats! You'll have a blast.

You'd save money by renting points from a DVC member. Studios range from 8 points to 48 points per night depending on which DCV resort and season. Points generally rent from $10-13 per point.

I priced out a studio in low season in Dec and it was $425 per night. I renting points for the same time at $132 per night (weeknight - weekends are higher.)

Booking Bay Lake Towers will be tough because it's new, and it's the only DVC resort on the monorail line.

OooOooo, 8 nights! Sounds heavenly! I would love to be at BLT for 8 nights but it won't be open yet in June when we go! I am looking forward to our first Kidani Village stay though.

We are in a 1 bedroom standard view. Need to conserve some points as we are doing a 4 day Disney cruise and 4 day stay at the Boardwalk in January!!

Nice, I hope you can come back & do a Trip Report for us! I'd love to see all your BLT & Cruise pictures.

We're booked in a MK view Studio in December at BLT; I hope I get to stay in a 1-bedroom there sometime. They are AWESOME!
