But that wouldn't explain why I couldn't log on the first or second time using the correct information. The CM told me it all looked good and he saw no problems with what he was looking at on his end. He joked about paying our dues this year like that would lock a member out. I didn't ask if it was true or not because we paid our dues so we were good there.

I don't know if he was a multi-purpose CM who answers any and all calls or if he was an IT CM. He couldn't solve my problem but he may have been the nicest CM I have ever spoken to in all the times I've called WDW.

Stephanie, I don't think this is it... but several years ago I had the same problem. After dealing with Disney mutliple times, I literally stumbled on someone who knew what was going on. Seems that I had multiple ID/Passwords with Disney over many years (all areas of Disney, not just DVC); for whatever strange, unknown reason they consolidated all of my accounts under one account and somehow picked the weirdest one to use as the master.

I have two different passwords with disney and every now in then I'll accidently log in with the wrong username and password and it does this to me too.

Such a weird thing going on! I hope your DH and IT get it all straighted out tomorrow :)

Thanks, Bruce. I am worried about that because I may have more than one account with Disney. When I joined DVC I used my current Disney account on DVC to make it easier but I'm sure there are other accounts I don't remember.

Thanks. I have no patience for stuff like this, I want it to work right the first time. My DH does this stuff every day so he used to it and hopefully can get it fixed. Being able to use the site is important since members can do a lot with their membership right on the site.

I talked to another very nice CM at Member Service who set me up with a new Club ID and one time PIN so I could make a new user name and password. It went well, I added all the information as if I was a new member and like magic there was my account with all our vacation information....until I tried to log in again and once again I am locked out. I can't log in with my new user name and password. I'm really frustrated with all of this.

My hubby is my hero. He talked to yet another very nice CM who finally got my account fixed. Being an IT guy, my DH could actually tell them more of what as going on and they did say they were having issues with accounts that had an email address for the user name. Sooo....they set me up with a new user name that wasn't an email and a new password and I'm all set. I've logged in and out several times and it works!!

As frustrated as this was MS was very nice to deal with. Everyone understood how important it is to have access to the website and waned to get the problem fixed.

Glad to see it worked out for you. Come to think of it, after I got my ID/Password fixed way back when, my ID is not an e-mail address.

Crazy stuff. If they do this to you, they should give you some kind of notification.

I didn't think a thing about using an email address because the example above the box uses an email address. It's easy to remember so it seemed like a good idea--both times. Thinking back, I used my regular Disney . com account info when I set up my my first DVC account. I'm just happy I got it fixed. I like knowing I can log in and see our vacation information at any time.
