I know, it STINKS. And since we often have other 'travel obligations' through-out the year b/c Daniel's family lives in Florida & Canada ANYTHING else we take, besides that ONE week of vacation, Daniel has to take it unpaid which TOTALLY sucks. That's one of the reasons my Dad went with me to Disneyland in January instead of Daniel.

It REALLY stinks. And the poor guy works SOOOOO hard.

What is this "week(s) off" thing that you people speak of?

Oh, the joy of working for yourself. At WDW 5 times last year, none more that 3 nights.

I'd REALLY like to buy more, but I'm thinking that it would be wiser to have Amil hear from me with referrals only for a while. Working my rear off now with refinances but I don't want to have to count on that extra money to pay a purchase off. We'll see how long these interest rates last.

Or if I rent a bunch of points.

It's really nice that he has that flexibility for things like time off for the birth of our children and such. But, the bad thing is that because he's over hundreds of employees, he works 12-14 hour days and travels quite a bit. Oh well. Give and take. I do get to stay home with our daughter and we can take vacations!

There's a sticky thread in the DVC forum with a whole list of members who are willing to give you a referral. Look through it and send someone a PM, you'll make their day.

It's a GREAT time to purchase, like I said, if I would have recieved a free cruise & a referral discount (well I did get that part at least

) I would have been SO excited! The cruise is like 'WOAH!'

PLUS there is a Disney Rewards Visa offer...become a member (160 points min)...charge 15% downpayment (6 months interest free) and get two free annual passes.

Trying to find out if this applies to add ons.

Does anyone know the dates for the cruise incentive? I was told that I would get a call back once she was able to locate the dates since the cruise was only valid during certain sailings.

GET OUTTA TOWN!!! Gosh, I wish that would have been an incentive when I joined. I would have charged the 15%, got the annual pass certificate or whatever it is, then pay it off my CC cash.

Usually I'm too late on everything when it comes to deals, this time I was too early. My DD is taking the cruise and she is thrilled. But the APs or the way cheaper price or whatever else is floating would had me jumping.

I get off about 5 weeks a year, one of the last surving perks of working for government (for a long time). But I can't afford to spend five weeks in at WDW of course.

The dates are limited to the fall 2009 season. So if you have kids not going to work for you. Take the $$$$.

Didn't get a chance to talk to MS about the Visa offer to see if it applies to esisting members adding on as well. My guess is not but it never hurts to ask!
