BCV room requests

I know this question has probably been asked too many times to count, and probably a hot topic, but how do I make sure that I get the view I requested when making my reservation for an Epcot view (or at least as close to an Epcot view)?

Even though I know that DVC can't "guarantee" that I get my requests, since I made my ressie in Jan. it would be nice to get my requests.

I know I've seen different posts in the past as to whether or not it's based on a first-come first-serve basis, do they go by when you made your ressie, or just what they have available when you check in?

Is there a better time to check-in to get your requests?

Again, sorry to ask this again but couldn't find any info on this subject.

You should just send a "view" request just like you would send a room request. Why not just send a very nice fax to where you are staying (attention to the assigner) and you maybe surprised. It surely can't hurt. If the request is in your reservation already, they will do the best they can to please you. You can always ask for another room.

All of the villas have asked for you not to fax in a room request, all requests must be made at the time of booking, or actually, you can call back and add a request.

How the process works is that the reservation is transfered over to the resort four or five days before you arrive. The room assignor then looks at all the reservations, and tried to fit all the pieces together like a puzzle, filing most of the requests they can. We have always gotten every request we wanted at OKW and Boardwalk Villas. We have requested EPCOT view and fourth floor at Beach Club for our upcoming trip. I will let you know how it goes.

I'm sorry. I thought room requests went the same with DVC. Sorry for the bad information. I should have looked it up first.

Dana, it was a recent change in the procedure for DVC members. They are trying to make room assignments as you check-in, matching you up with rooms that are available at that time.
