Am I the only one nervous?

I have a question for all of the recent new DVC owners.

Does all of this turmoil, especially the hostile takeover bid, make you nervous about your DVC ownership?

I have to admit, we are so new to the DVC (just bought in the fall and haven't even used it yet) and it is a large sum of money (300 points = $25k) that I am starting to wonder at times (shame on me). Not to mention my DW who is really, really uptight!

Is it just us????:dazed

I too am upset. My DH and I were doing research into DVC. I now question such an investment. I don't question the binding agreement a person would make but the overall "Magic" of the "World." What if it changes? Something to think about. If Comcast gets their way, hopefully they will realize that if they changed WDW one bit it might be a losing proposition for them.

I think this would be a good time to read the fine print on your contract that may give you some answers.Im sure Comcast doesnt want the parks and will resell them off,then you may be in a world of hurt.

I had the same thoughts...hoping to find some answers here. We too just bought into DVC in October, makes me a little nervous. Maybe we'll hear from someone with some inside scoop. :nervous

At this point, really, what can we do? Until there is some definitifive change, things will just continue as before, I would imagine. All investments, I suppose, are a bit of a gamble.

I think I am most nervous because we are sooo new to the DVC.

Being the Queen of "What If...", I understand completely. But, surprisingly, I'm not too worried about this. I just have a feeling everything will turn out fine. Have you got a trip planned?

Yes, we are happily going for a few days in September w/o kids. In addition, we are taking our 1st big family DVC trip in October. I'm sure it will be great. Just worried about the future.:cry:

well, remember - 99% of the stuff we worry about never happens. Enjoy your trips. I'm sure you've made the right decision:)

We had the same concerns when we first read about it. Now, I have absolutely NO EVIDENCE, but I'm wondering if Roy doesn't have something to do with this. That's what's keeping my spirits up. It just seemed to come so close on the heels of the whole firing Roy thing. Just a thought...:)

You know, I thougth of Roy's involvement too, but the risk is too high. I just cannot see Roy wanting the company that his father and uncle started being owned by anyone other than itself. And I don't trust any big corporation who doesn't truly have Disney's original interests at heart. I miss Walt!:heart
