DVC Reservations Heads Up!
Today I finished calling Member Services day-by-day to book my 04 Thanksgiving vacation. I booked OKW at the 11 month window with no problem back in Dec, 03, and wanted to move to BCV at the 7 month window. I called every morning at 9:00am ET and was able to make the switch, but this morning I called a 9:30am and I had to wait list for my last night. I feel pretty good about my wait list coming through, but it just the anxiety of having to wait. I just wanted to pass on my experience and theory that you have to make your DVC reservation day-by-day for the popular (DVC) times of the year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.), at the smaller more popular resorts i.e. BCV, WLV, BWV. I feel that if I would have waited till today to make the switch for the whole week I would have had to be put on the wait list for more than one day if not for the whole week. Oh yea I forgot to mention that I had to do this for a studio, and not one of the bigger rooms. I know the kids will be happy that we got in to BCV, they love SAB.

I made a reservation in Jan for Presidents week at the Boardwalk. They told me I would need to change rooms every day - not something I really wanted to do but I could deal with it. I went on the wait list and before we left they had called and we would be in the same room all 3 nights -
