Also, I think she might want to walk a bit of the time and use it when she gets tired. I was thinking we can park it somewhere, like at the entrance of a busy ride, and come back when we need it. Can we take it on the bus? The monorail? Any experience or ideas with this?

We have always traveled to WDW at the slower times taking my daughter out of school and have ususally found a week where they had perhaps at least 1 day off school. We have traveled in September, October, January etc. My daughter will be entering high school next year and I am wondering if it will be to hard to take her out of school. If you were contemplating a trip when the kids are not in school when would you think the best time to go would be? Just FYI our family are early risers and we are always at the parks when they open and usually head back to the room for the pool or relaxation. We have annual passes and go every year so we are not concerned with being in the parks all day.

Space Mountain is now running with it's brand new audio system, dubbed 'Starry-O-Phonic Sound'. The addition of the audio now completes the major 2009 refurbishment that added new storyline elements, new lighting and darkening effects, updated loading area and queue, new queue interactive games and an on-ride photo system.

Unlike Rock 'n' RollerCoaster or Space Mountain in Disneyland or Paris, which use on-board speakers mounted in the train, Space Mountain uses 60 speakers installed "off-board" on the sides of the track. Sound effects and music are timed to play as each train passes. The soundtrack was written specifically for the Magic Kingdom's mountain by composer Mike Brassell.

As some of you know DH and I are going to WDW Oct 20-26 as a 30th Anniversary gift from our children. Well I promised DH no running around like a maniac seeing everything (See his world doesn't revolve around the mouse like mine - actually he teases me by saying we are infested with rodents everytime I purchase another Mickey related item)

What I'm looking for are suggestions for visiting/seeing things normally passed by or unknown, like the Koi Pond in Japan - which I've never seen yet but will this trip. I also plan on visiting some of the value & moderate hotels to check out the decor as I have already visited all the Deluxe ones.

Any other suggestions?
