Out of curiosity...

How quickly do these rates tend to sell out? Am I taking a big gamble by waiting until tonight to make the reservation?

In checking, it seems that not all of the rates are even in the system yet. My guess is that you will be fine until this evening.

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

Hi all,

I just called for the poly and they were all gone. SAD!! I am going to be calling back. They were discussing on releasing more rooms. One CM told me all they had was the AK, Boardwalk and the Contempory. I don't know if that is true, but looks like they didn't release very many rooms.

Still hoping for a discount!!!!!

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

OMGoodness!!!

I finally got off the phone with WDtravel. It took me 74 mins, thank goodness for the toll-free number. They couldn't figure out why it wasn't going through, So this outstanding CM Limon, took his time and got me 8 days at the AP rate and 4 at the regular. I will try back in 7 days and 14 days to see if anyone canceled their reservations and maybe I can get the other 4 days. Still I saved over $800 dollars. YEAH!!!! This makes it so much more close. Anyone trying, don't give up. Keep Calling!!!

The rate is determined by the day you check in.

For example: on my trip, we're checking into PC on Dec 15, Contemp on the 17th and back to the PC on the 19th, checking out and flying home on the 22nd. Even though Holiday season begins Dec 20th, since we're checking in on the 19th, then I get the AP Value rate of $49/room for the 19th, 20th & 21st.

Make sense?

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

Yeah- the phone system is really busy tonight. I tried all day to take advantage of an AP rate and see if I could switch something I already. Luckily I got a person, but I had to wait on hold for a very long time.
Tonight when I got home to make a quick change of it, the lines were so busy Disney asked you to call tomorrow.
The Passholders must be driving them wild!

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

I had my travel agent call and make my reservations for me. The cost to me is minimal and she called back within 15 minutes to confirm I had my 10 nights at PC starting Dec 19th. 10 nights, 2 rooms at $49 a night per room. Outstanding!

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

In a stunning development, it appears that the EWP discounts were SO popular, that Disney is now offering a new set of discounts.

Mousesavers.com is reporting a new code BAT which has discounts that aren't quite as deep as the EWP discounts.

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

Mousesavers has some very good advice on trying to best utilize the discount codes:
http://www.mousesavers.com/disneyresorts.html#noluck

I think the only reason that we got exactly what we wanted is because we tend to enjoy things that others don't.

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

I know people are saying these discounts have been really hard to get. I hope that doesn't mean the parks are going to be packed when we go in early Dec.

Re: AP rates for Fall, 2004

Just tried to get the EWP rate for 10/16 thr 10/23 and they said it is not valid for that time because those dates are regular season. So the rate was $79?!?!? Guess I'll call back and try the BAT rate or even try the EWP again.

Disney.com says under the annual passholder section:
$55 Rate are valid most nights 10/31/04 - 12/25/04, but not available at all from 11/10-11/13/04 and 11/23-11/27/04. The number of rooms available at these rates is limited.
Specially priced rates may also be available 9/30-10/30/04

Wonder how to find out about the "specially priced rates" for Oct??
