By the way, if you think the 4 day hopper is a better deal, and will fit your needs for your upcoming trip, I would suggest buying the passes by the end of December. They will still be good, and will be accepted just as if the new program had not gone into effect.

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
I understand there is also a 10 day ticket for $222.59 and the extra cost for the never expire option is $100. Has anyone seen this option yet? As a DVC member going 2 weeks out of every 3 years, this is clearly the deal yet.

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
Whoa I am seriously confused with all this. Luckily I'm not the one in my family who buys the tickets.
![]() They still have season passes right? We get those most often. And the 4-day park hoppers... sad to see those go... what's the equivalent of those now? Do you have to buy 4 days and then add park hopping on top of it? I could be totally off but that seems a little weird to me.

DVC-JP, I saw that 10-day ticket at mousesavers.com, but it is not listed in any other website so I don't know if it will be available.

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
does anyone else find it odd that Disney would be waiting till last minute to start this? I mean that there is no warning- less than a month to train and get it going. I wonder why so last min???? This is a change ,the EE is changing ,the pal mickey is not being rented anymore...... I wish I could be a fly on the wall in the executive board room to see what is going on behind the scenes- good and bad!

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
My goodness, this is all so confusing! Just when I thought I had made up my mind to buy the new 7 day pass with the no expiration option, I hear they have a 10 day pass!!
I'm a little confused as to why the 10 day pass isn't listed on the Disney site, though. The only place I have seen it is on Mousesavers.com. Does anyone know if it is legit? If so that would certainly take us through 2 WDW vacations at a really good rate! |

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
WAIT!!! Stop worrying about rumors from the other Disney sites and actually go to disneyworld.com. They have the most up to date information and it can actually help you. For your information, the 10-day ticket was a rumor floating around that is untrue. Once you get past a fully loaded 7 day ticket, it is more cost effective to buy a seasonal pass, that is honestly why Disney stopped at 7. For once they are actually somewhat looking out for your wallet. In addition the short notice seems a little strange to many but there is always a reason. Many in the Orlando area speculate that it was a sneak attack to try and "scare" other local attractions, I wonder which one?!?!? Universal Studios is no longer a good deal compared to Disney and if word would have leaked out about Disney's ticketing changes they would have started planning something on their end. Magic Your Way has been in the planning for a little over a year or so and the handful of people that knew about it had to sign confidentiality agreements. Is Disney competing with Universal, definetely not but are they trying to get some of their business, most likely yes. Post your questions, I will be standing by!

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
Thanks for clearing that up, disneyboy! I was skeptical about the 10 day pass since it was not on the disneyworld.com website. I'm always afraid to deal with those unoffical sites. I noticed on the Disney site it said that they would be offering a discount on advanced purchases, however I couldn't seem to find any info on the discounted prices. Am I just missing it?

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
The prices listed on this thread, and on DisneyWorld.com are the advance discount prices. The gate prices have not been announced yet for the 5 day and longer passes.
On the subject of a longer pass, I have yet to get a straight answer out of any of the higher ups at Disney. The 10 day pass is a rumor, but no one will tell me if there will be a longer pass than 7 days or not. Do not be surprised if there is a 10 day pass. Right now, and advance purchase 7 day pass with hopping is about $250. An annual pass is over $400. That is a pretty big gap for someone staying 10 nights. While I understand that they want people to stay longer, and while 7 days is longer than 4 days, how do they address the guests who like to stay for 10 nights, or 14?

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
How about the dining situation? Any new news on what that is or how it works or how much? I tried to call but they had no answers for me.

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
I too think they have to come out with a pass longer than 7 days. We actually need 8 days and I don't want a annual pass because we will not be going back soon enough to make those worth it! Surely Disney recognized people like me and will make a way for us.

Re: New Magic Your Way WDW Packages
My DH just called WDW, and unfortunantley they couldn't really tell him much about the new ticket options. He asked about the 10 day ticket, and was told that it was a good possibility, but wasn't a definite yet. So I guess we all just wait and hope!

The less expensive dining plan includes one sit down meal, one counter service and one snack for every night you are staying. The cost is $35 for adults (10 and older) and $10 for kids (3 - 9) per night. All of the really expensive places have been removed from the option, but there are still plenty of nice restaurants. Le Cellier, Chef de France, Cinderella's Royal Table, etc. You do not have to use one per day. You could have three sit down meals in one day, or all your snacks all at one sitting. The other dining package is basically the gold plan now, and runs about $135 per night per adult.
