New dining locations added to the dining plan
The popular Disney Dining Plan, which is part of the Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining, has been expanded to include a variety of new dining locations.
It appears that all of the restuarants in the parks and resorts are now included, and several of the restaurants that were recently charging 2 sit down meals per meal have been changed to just one meal. This means the plan is now a much better deal that it was before, with more restaurants available and some of the restaurants are now cheaper. You can download a new brochure here: Disney Dining Plan PDF |

Re: New dining locations added to the dining plan
Look at all the choices at Epcot!!! Now I'll have to decide which one to go to there. Tough choice. I thought I had that one already picked out.

Re: New dining locations added to the dining plan
Amen on the AP holders! I've ran the budget both ways and it's much cheaper for me to take the AP discount and the DDE than a package and the dining plan.

Re: New dining locations added to the dining plan
No update to the AP/DVC holders problem. I heard rumur they may do a test run with it this Fall, but nothing is concrete, and the way they were talking, it looks unlikely that it will ever happen. I too wish it would, I would buy it just about every time.

Re: New dining locations added to the dining plan
I was wondering is the meal plan worth it if you go to alot of sit down dinners. We do a lot of sit down restraunts throughout our trip. We don't do many counter service meals. So, that's my question. Is it worth getting?

I'm even more impressed that someone posted the sit-down restaurants are allowing you to eat your BIG meal and come back later for dessert, essentially an additional snack.

I checked menu prices on allearsnet.com and most of the non-buffet/family service restaurants will cost you $45-60 per person for appetizer, entree, dessert, and beverage, so the $35 per day seems like a deal. Even the buffets/family service pretty much will be $30 after beverage, tax, and tip are added, so still a good deal. If you went to Epcot, got your snack, ate counter service with dessert, and then went to Le Cellier, you could get about $70-80 worth of meals for your $35.

Hmmm, I was just wondering . . . Mickey, you mentioned that some of the places that were charging 2 sit downs had changed to one, but I didn't notice any of these on the brochure (although I hadn't studied the previous list either.) Do you actually know which restaurants wer reduced?
