that's the way I understand it. I am looking at the dining locations now to see which ones we'll try.

I already have a package booked for 9-25-05 through 10-2-05 (although it's not yet completely paid for.) If I try and cancel my existing vacation package (including non-refundable plane tickets and everything) and rebook with this new offer, will I be penalized for the cancellation? Will I even be allowed to make this change? Our trip is still several months out so I was curious as to if I could go ahead and change our trip to include the free Dining option.

I'm glad to say that a few hours ago the WDW Travel company graciously reworked my existing reservations into one that includes the free Dining option. It's saving us $100 or more with this new arrangement. I'm glad they did this for us.

WOW this is Great. DH and I are going in Nov I wish they were doin this till then. It would save us so much money. I know that a co-worker (ccorbet here on the DC) had the dining plan during his last trip and they loved it.
Maybe we wil get lucky and they will do something like this in Nov.....

Does that mean the Dining plan without any restrictions, exactly as if one were to pay for it? That sounds too good to be true almost. I wish we could, I wish we could....

When this free dining deal was just a rumour back in May, I was making reservations and asked the CM about it. He indirectly admitted it might happen but would not be until late summer. He told me that WDW was doing it because of the late season hurricanes last year. They are afraid that because of the multiple late season hurricanes last year that bookings might fall off drastically for the late summer/early fall this year.

If that is true, I would guess they won't extend it.
