Mousesavers.com is reporting that Disney is offering room only discounts for WDW resorts rooms for dates between 10/23/05-11/23/05.

• Value Resorts - $89 standard
• Moderate Resorts - $119 standard
• Saratoga Springs Resort - $224 studio
• Animal Kingdom Lodge - $255 savannah view
• Grand Floridian - $354 garden view

Savings are $10 a night on Value resorts, $30 a night on Moderate resorts, and $40-$65 on Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts. More rates and information to come. Please ask for code BJV to get your discount.

For packages, the discounts differ a bit:

• Sample price for a 4 Night/5 Day Magic Your Way package starts at $999.00 at a Value resort for family of 4, based on two adults, one child (3-9), one junior (10-17).

• Rate is valid for travel most nights: 10/23/05-11/20/05, 11/26/05-12/4/05 and 12/10/05-12/25/05.

• Travel must be completed by 12/25/05.

• 3-night minimum stay. You must book by 10/22/05.

• Booking code is YQC for a regular Magic Your Way package, or YQE for Magic Your Way Plus Dining. (Dining portion of the package is not discounted.)

There is a Florida resident version of this package available, use booking code YPE. Remember there are FL resident room only discounts available during this time as well. It might be worth looking into both to see which is a better deal.

Well, if you have a package currently booked, this will be a better deal. No way to really compare until you get the discounts applied or price something out.

If you are booked and paid in full how does Disney handle it when you apply the discount? Do they cut you a check?

I just talked to the ap people and the new discount isn't better than the price I am paying already. I have POFQ for $10 less a night. These people confuse me..lol

I had that happen for my January trip and they applied it to my room at my request. Meaning I had that extra money owed on account to my room. I think you maybe able to have it credited back to your credit card or bank account too. I just went with the other option because I looked at is as money to spend while there and less I had to take with me.

I just called and rebooked my trip. I had booked room only for AKL and was going to get my hopper passes separately, but with this discount I saved about $230. I'll take it!!

(that's 5 nights in a standard savannah, 2 adult 5 day hoppers and 2 children's 5 day hoppers)

I really don't get this...please excuse my confusion - these prices don't look that great to me. I have seen 89$ and less at CBR (a moderate) and I have paid less than 200$ at deluxe resorts at WDW.

Whenever I look at package pricing or travel agent pricing it is always higher than what I am used to. I always call the hotel directly or the WDW reservation number and ask what discounts are available during the time I want to go. In other words, I make room reservations separately. I always get better pricing that way.

Is there something I'm missing about these packages?

Maybe they gauge how full they already are when releasing discounts. From what we have heard this fall is already pretty full. So, if they want to entice a few more people to full up the rest of the rooms then offer a small discount. Why offer a big one when when they don't seem to need to?

Iam booked w/the dining plan and a package w/AAA thru WDW reservations.
Iam booked 10/29 - 11/5 at the WL. And also booked a 8day MYW passes.
Who do I contact???
Any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks!

Call CRO or whoever you booked with and ask them to price the same room under the discount and see which price is better. In my case, the price was better than this new discount. The code is YQC for packages or YQE if you have dining. Hurry up before the rooms are all gone.

I called..... and they couldnt apply the discount code for me because I booked thru AAA.
I did request a rate though as I were to make a brand new reservation and I was quoted 2642.79 for the WL, 8day passes w/dining plan.

I paid 3147.79 for my package!!

I hope AAA will help me out with this!!
of course AAA is closed today, I have to wait till tomorrow....
I know that I asked my agt about a month ago if she could check to see if my rate has gone down any and she told me that the rates are always the same that this is a AAA discounted rate and they dont every go down from there.
so we will have to see tomorrow.
