Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

Mousesavers has updated some info on their web site... they report that 52 suites will be available by June and another 140 will open by this fall. The anticipated date for reservatios is approximately March 6.

Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

With all due respect, I hope "more affordable" option doesn't mean more smoking, tattoed, muscle shirted people who belong at Six Flags. My thoughts are if you can't afford or just complain about the prices at WDW then it's not the vacation spot for you. I get tired of reading about all the places of how to schrimp at WDW. I wish and hope it continues a tradition of quality rather than people who tear it up and complain of costs. Sorry, my thoughts.

Your thoughts are always welcomed of course, but I have no idea where you are getting this from?? I don't see how smoking, tattoed or wearing muscle shirts makes someone a bad person. I do not like your seriosuly closed mind at all. Just because someone looks different from you doesn't make them less than what you think you are. I to get tired of hearing people cheat WDW, but having affordable accomindations for families of 5 or more is someting that has been a long time coming. People have been getting two rooms at a value or god forbid going off site to be able to take their families to WDW. This is only a way to ensure people stay on site more...better for WDW. You should think a bit more before you type. Your opinions as stated could hurt feelings and that kind of stuff seriously isn't the norm on DC or welcome here.

Thanks for the new Mickey!!! We'll have to look into this option, since we'll have five total (our 2-1/2 yr old and our twins due in less than 2 weeks )!!!

Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

I would definitely give this serious consideration for our family of 5. It has been a long time coming. We've done the one kid on the floor in a sleeping bag and then moved up to POR because of the trundle bed. This could work out well for us as well as many others. (and I don't have tatoos, smoke, or wear muscle-shirts, although some of my friends might).

Well, I think that after I book my suite for September, I will need to go get a tattoo, take up smoking, and arrive in a muscle shirt, JUST for the sole purpose of perterbing jwakja ...

I just found this thread, and to my horror, your post. I support your right to post your thoughts on DC, but when you cross the line and begin criticizing guests because of their appearance or financial means, it is too much for me. So I am exercising my right to ask you to keep your thoughts of this nature to yourself.
WDW has clearly gone to great lengths to provide a very wide range of vacation options, including price, to allow everyone -- even negative, judgmental guests -- to enjoy the experience. "Sorry, my thoughts."

Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

Indeed I hope the idea catches on and they put suites in the second half of Pop. DD and I stayed at PC this past December for a quickie weekend surprise trip and we loved it.

Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

I wonder if you can get an AP discount on these suites-that would really make them "sweet".

Wow - I also just read this - and quite frankly, I'm stunned! So, WDW should only be for the "affluent" - only their children deserve the wonder of Disney? How dare "Six Flag" type people try to enter the sacred halls of WDW? Don't think Walt would agree with you. I've always had a dream that if I ever won a lottery I would send as many less-fortunate kids as I could to experience the magic. I sure hope they wouldn't "tear up the place" for you. As for tattooed individuals - I know quite a lot of "affluent" people sporting them these days. You need a real attitude adjustment.

HA! When I read this I just couldn't believe it. I make a good living. I can afford Disney but I'll save the money where I can. Be it a sleeveless shirt or a suite style room vs. 2 rooms with the money saved I can throw a jacket over my tattoo infested muscle shirt wearing body and take my family and yours to Victoria and Alberts!

Ignorance must be bliss.

Re: All-Star Music Family Suites

Thats not bad... theres 6 in my fam and theres not very many good options for us onsite... that said instead of going in peak season and paying 259 for one of those rooms and have the parks be extremely busy i would much prefer to pay the same price for two connecting rooms at a moderate resort in the off season...
