Disney bases everything on the day you check in, so if you check in on August 25, you are completely out of luck. You need to check in sometime during the offering dates to qualify.

I would suggest getting a hold of a Disney only travel agency, either our sponsor Mouseketrips or some one else. Go ahead and get something on hold this week for your dates, and they will take care of getting the discount applied for you when it is released late next week.

I think some people have booked at one resort for one night, then checked out & booked the package with free dining the next day - so they would get the deal & still be there when they wanted to. (whether that 1st night is a WDW resort or somewhere else, is up to you, I guess). just a thought.

btw - I am doing such a great happy dance over free dining!!!!!

I read on another board that it may be offered in the morning (the 6th) to disney visa holders. now, of course, that is just what another thread on another board discussed - who knows how accurate they are!
