Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
When i saw all these posts referring to Keith, i thought you meant me!!
What a day.. a few minutes into my work day, i get a note from our technical department saying our web access will be down all day for maintenance and then i get this email from my TA and i'm bursting at the seams and i can't get on to Mousebuzz to share it. Oh well, better late than never: ------------- Hi Keith Our Free Disney Dining Promotion is now official. I put in a request to Disney wholesale to change your reservation first thing this morning.... It takes 24-48 hours to hear back. I will let you know when I get the confirmation. ------------- My TA Jennifer got the news this morning in her system about the free dining also. Congrats Everyone! :: on the Haunted Mansion.. i think someone uncovered the re-open date and it was like a day before we leave for Disney.. September 13th i think? I remember saying we just caught a break on that one.

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
I've been checking WDW website and the only Value Resort with free dining rooms left is All Star Sports. We reserved this special last year sometime in June and everything was open!
I think they are really limiting the number of rooms at each resort for this special.

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
Called on April 12th was on hold for 48 minutes. Wanted the movies and was sold out. ended up at the sports hope it is a nice place we love the movies. Checked disney;s website and there are not more value resorts or moderate available for the last week of August. Rooms must be very limited anyone have any idea the number blocked out for this special? Any CM's with any inside Info

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
Booked out already??? Holy smokes! They are either seriously limiting the number of rooms per resort, or that place is going to be JAMMING with people. This is the first time I have been happy about changing my trip dates.

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
I just called and all that was avail were sports,cb,pofq, por, preferred at cs (but at a higher cost) and deluxe. But it was a difference of $500 for 3 days at sports compared to $800 at mod and $1500 at deluxe... UGH!

I called at 7 am the day it came out for Visa cardholders... there were no standard rooms at all at WL, Contemporary or Pop. You had to get a preferred room for the free dining. So of course I chose WL but I'm not really thinking like free dining is a deal because the room was so expensive!!

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
I think that the rooms are reeeeally limited this year...I'm not so worried about it being jammed with people, because based on the way things have been going, it sounds like there were hardly any rooms to begin with.
(Did that make any sense? That was a very run-on sentence. )

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
I suppose that you are right- about there being not so many rooms to begin with- I am also wondering what will open up once people let go the ressies later after the 14 day period.

Re: WDW Free Dining for August 26 - September 22, 2007
I too think the rooms were limited...I am not worried about it being jammed. I read on other forums (DIS and TGM) that Disney Visa holders were not getting their 1st choice in hotel first thing Mon morning. I also think it is harder to get rooms if you are travelling past mid Sept from what I read. We are going Sept 6-14, and Keith was able to get it for us....I feel extremely lucky. I also read, I believe on DIS, that cancellations for free dining rooms will NOT be put back into the FDD room pool....huh? So I guess if you have a room with FDDP hang on to it.
