Disney Club Fairy Tale Vacation Packages for the summer

Mousesavers is reporting the following new package for Dinsey Club Members. Packages similar to this should be available to the general public in teh next couple of days.

OK, here is the package everyone has been waiting for:: buy a 4-night package (room & Ultimate Park Hopper passes), get a 7-night package (room & Ultimate Park Hopper passes)! Yep, that's like getting 3 nights of hotel and tickets for FREE -- or to put it another way, it's about 43% off your room and tickets for a 7-night stay! The offer is for those checking into a Disney Resort from July 4, 2003 through October 30, 2003.

This is absolutely the most amazing offer I've ever seen at Walt Disney World, and Disney Club members get first crack at it! (A similar offer for the general public will be coming in the next few days.)

Plus, Disney Club members get an additional $50 off the package total for the regular package and $75 off if choosing the Silver add-on -- note that the add-on is at full price, so you still get the free room and tickets, but pay for the Magical Wishes.

It appears that this offer applies to all resorts, subject to availability. Some accommodations (such as campsites, suites, 2-bedroom villas and Grand Villas) may not be available with this package. A few sample prices for a 7-night package for 2 adults, including tax:

* Caribbean Beach - regular season, standard room $1233.79
* Animal Kingdom Lodge - value season, standard room $1479.07; value season, savannah view $1818.01
* Wilderness Lodge - value season, standard room $1479.07
* Boardwalk Inn - value season, standard view $1880.45; value season, water view $2197.13
* Polynesian - value season, garden view $1855.21

If you are staying for more than 4 nights but less than 7 nights, you still get some free nights, but needless to say, you might as well stay for a week since it won't cost you any more. Also, if you pay for 8 nights, you can get up to 6 additional free nights! See the chart below for details.

The Fairytale Vacation Package is not identical with the full Dream Maker package, but you do get a keepsake character framed artwork with pin (one per room) in addition to your room and passes.

You must book by 6/29/03. Proof of Disney Club membership required at time of reservation and check-in. Terms: pay $100 deposit within 14 days of making reservation; payment in full required 21 days prior to check-in; cancel without penalty up until 5 days prior to check-in.

Here are the booking codes:

Disappointed

Since I was planning on booking 12 nights with 5 day Park Hoppers (without the Plus option), this turns out not to be such a deal afterall. I would save more with a good room only discount. Ultimate park hoppers are very expensive and no one in my family (except me) likes the water parks.

Part of the problem with that though is that there is a strong possibility that by the time room only discounts are released, there won't be any availability. While if you compare the 13 day lenght of stay pass to the 5 day park hopper plus, it should be cheaper, but the nice thing about the deal is that you can use the pass each day, so you can go to the parks for dinner and fireworks and not worry about using a full day for the pass.

Will Sleep on it

I just ran through the numbers and in IMHO, it isn't worth it. Unbeknownst to me, my wife ran through the numbers too and IM'd me about it. She came to the same conclusion (we've been married over 24 years, can ya tell?) and she wants to wait for room only discounts. I will sleep on this and see in the next few days which way to go. We usually spend less than 1/2 of our Disney time at the parks, opting to travel to Kissimmee, other Disney hotels, International drive, etc. so Ultimate Park Hoppers are not that important to us. The Sneaker outlet stores are one of the only places my son can get decent shoes, as he is a size 17! So we usually plan one day around going out towards that store, and combine that with miniature golf. Great Discounts on T shirts when you're not in the parks. We are also planning on going to Bush Garden's Tampa and maybe St. Petersburg for a day. Perhaps. There is also a great Chinese Buffet just outside the back gate of WDW, (near Tony Roma's) that my daughter just loves.

This sounds great to me! We stayed at POR last August for our honeymoon, which was wonderful. After eating dinner at Artist Point, we fell in love with the Wilderness Lodge and decided that the next time we came, we would stay there. I'm didn't think that we could afford to go again this year, but now I'm thinking about taking advantage of this for our anniversary! We crammed so much activity into our honeymoon, that we would be happy just going to the parks half the day and spending some time lazing about the pool.

Will you post when the discounts are available to the public?

Yes, they will be on the front page, most likely right above this one.

Sounds like a great deal! I've never gotten the Ultimate park hoppers but would appreciate the flexibility it offers especially since 3 days are free! Since our Dec. family trip was cancelled I think we are going to try to go with just me DH and DD. I e-mailed mouseketrips because I'm curious to know how much it will cost for my DD.

DH and I are mulling it over *grin* I might even call and see about renewing our Disney Club card for what remains of the year and what the heck if we put it on a credit card, we have learned over this past year how important living is and getting all we can out of it. he asked which resort and because its his favorite I said "well if we did do this of course AKL" which put a huge smile on his face :) Mickey would it be safe to assume that even though all the moderates and value resorts will be booked quickly .. there might still be some availibility at the deluxe when it becomes availible to the general public?

I don't think the value resorts will be difficult, just the moderates (though Movies is always tough). AKL and WL are no problem right now, though I would guess in a couple of weeks or so, that might be different.

After thinking about this all day I may have to upgrade from POR to WL. I have never been able to justify spending the extra money to stay at a deluxe. I can stay at WL and still pay less than I was going to pay to stay at POR at rack rate.

I have a few days to think about this. At least I have my rooms at POR just in case WL sells out between now and Thursday when I can get this rate. If it sells out it wasn't meant to be for me this trip. If WL sells out I will enjoy spending the several hundred dollars I will save with this deal and still have a great time at POR.

I have never even seen the WL, but the pictures look just beautiful. My trip looks better and better every day!

Question?

I am unsure of the following:
With the new Fairytale Package, do I have to purchase an Ultimate Park Hopper for everyone in the room? Being a frequent WDW guest, we have many left over park tickets and it just doesn't sit well to purchase more tickets for everyone when I have leftovers. But I will need at least one UPH ticket.

As part of this package, yes, you would have to purchase a ticket for everyone in the family. I guess you could call up CRO and tell them it is just for one adult and go from there, but that is up to you.
