Port Orleans - French Quarter to re-open
According to news reports in Orlando, and after having spoken with several CROs on the phone to confirm it, Port Orleans - French Quarter will re-open on May 31, 2002. Disney has started taking reservations as of today, and apparently, all sections of Port Orleans will be opened for visitors. I was also told that the food court has been completely redone, as have many of the common areas and some of the rooms. This is good news for those wishing to stay at Port Orleans - French Quarter.

No news as of yet. I know that they are still doing some finishing touches on it such as signage and very large toy placement. I will let you know when it happens. I would look for the announcement for it to open for the summer rush, but that is just a guess. It would add over 5,000 rooms to the Disney inventory, so they would have to be pretty sure that they could fill a good portion of it.
