Walt Disney World has released the long awaited Free Disney Dining program to the general public for the fourth consecutive year. This discount is identical to the Disney VISA cardholder free dining released on Monday.
With the “Free Dining” promotion, Disney resort guests who book a Magic Your Way package that includes both your Disney resort room and your Magic Your Way park passes, will receive the Disney Dining plan add-on for free for all guest age three and older in their party.

For the first time, Disney World guests will be able to book the “Free Dining”, and upgrade to the Disney Deluxe Dining for the normal price difference, which is $32 for adults and $10 for children three to nine. The Wine and Dine option is also available at full price to add onto either the Basic or Deluxe dining plans.

Availability is extremely limited, and must be booked by June 22, 2008. If you booked the Disney VISA free dining deal, there is no need to rebook, as this discount is identical to the one you have.

Guests must book a minimum of a three night stay, and must have at least a one day park pass included to receive the free dining.

I know... I know... I have been on hold for almost 30 minutes now.... I am excited.

I booked my trip yesterday so it can be switched over today- I had $400 in vouchers from AAA to use so it really will be free- we are going to do the deluxe dining too so we can use 2 credits for CG and 2 for HDD and so on! WooHoo!

I was so ready with fingers poised over the phone keypad at 6:59am...

Excitement building as I listened to 35 minutes of Disney music on hold...

That feeling of relief that washed over me as the CM came on the line and asked me to verify my address etc...

Premature relief it seems. As I was promptly told that there were no 2BR Villas with Free Dining.

Arggghhh....

Now Im getting mad!
I drove out to AAA yesterday to get the ball rolling
she treated me like I was nuts for thinking there was free dining coming out and that they had been told nothing
I told her I had "connections" and that not only did I want the free dining but the upgrade as well
She gave me a hard time and acted like I was bugging her
I called her when I got home because I knew it was being announced on the 10th but thought the 10th was friday so I told here where i was wrong-
she replied with "IF- its available we will TRY and change it for you"
I told her " I have given you enough warning that this is happening that there should be no issue

so this morning I forward her the email and the code
I wait....... and wait...... and finally at 11am call her to find out what is going on.
She said that she tried first thing but the lines were busy and she had other things to do- she said that she tried again a few min earlier but the computers were down and would be for about 45 min- Im really getting antsy now as she has $400 of my AAA dollars and I have nothing but a regular reservation in my hands! UGH!
Oh and she asked if I had my air aligned yet so she could book my ME- but Im not doing that until closer to the date- I wanted to snap back with "I think Ill take the rest of it from here thanks!"
I really miss my friend at AAA- I wish she was still working there!

Not that I will be able to go this year- but can someone direct me to a post or a page where I can see the different dining plans. We have never been there on Free Dining so I'm actually not familiar. We have only ever bought wishes- one time- and that was GREAT!!!

We had already booked through Mousketrips and Scott emailed us this morning with the $600 plus savings. He took care of it automatically. We had already chosen the Deluxe so we are paying about $600 for it instead of $1200. That is a deal! My dh was pretty happy!

Cancel and book the trip yourself...she has no interest.

My guess would be it wouldn't be announced again until next year about the same timeframe that this year's was.

We won't know until spring, anything before that is just a guess. There's a pretty good chance based on the last 4 years but it could end at any point.

We may see a bounceback program announced to guests staying during the promo period this year. Last year, guests who had stayed during the free dining promo had flyers put in their room offering the free dining as a bounceback for this year. We should start hearing from people within the next 3 weeks or so (if disney does offer it).
