2003 Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages now available!

2003 Candlelight Processional Dinner Packages are now available for booking through (407) WDW-DINE. The 2003 narrators have not been announced yet.

The Candlelight Processional is an annual event at Epcot that includes a celebrity narrator presenting the Christmas story, a large choir and an orchestra. It is held at the America Gardens Theatre in World Showcase area of Epcot. Dates for 2003 are November 28 - December 30. There will not be any performances open to the public on December 7, 2003. There are three performances each night and there is no additional charge for the performance over and above your Epcot admission.

You can purchase a special Candlelight Processional Dinner Package and bypass the typical 45-minute wait in line to get seats for the presentation. With this special package you pay a flat rate for a sit-down meal at an Epcot restaurant and you get preferred seating for the Candlelight Processional at no extra charge.

The price of the meal includes gratuity and beverage, but not 6.5% tax.

2003 prices and restaurants are as follows:

Tier 1
Adult $28.99, Child (3-11) $10.99
Garden Grill, Biergarten - Germany, Restaurant Akershus

Tier 2
Adult $34.99, Child (3-11) $10.99
San Angel Inn, Restaurant Marrakesh, Nine Dragons, Rose & Crown

Tier 3
Adult $41.99, Child (3-11) $10.99
Coral Reef, Chefs de France, Alfredo di Roma Ristorante, Le Cellier, Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki

Hi Mickey,
Have been to DW numerous of times, but have never done the Candlelight Dinner Package. Also, have eaten at many of the restaurants that you've listed. Is it worth going to? I'm sure the answer will be "yes", because we will be there when it starts. So we are thinking about doing this, because it's something we haven't done before... Thanks JOANN:)

Personally, yes, it is wort it, depending upon the narrator, of course. You do not have to purchase the package to get in though. The show is included in the price of your park ticket. If you are there early in December, try to hit an early show, and you should be able to walk in. We were there last December, on the 13th, and walked into the late afternoon show. It was only about half full about 5 minutes before it started. By starting time, it was pretty full. I would guess if you showed up 20 minutes early, you can get a pretty good seat.

We haven't done it before either and will be there the 1st day it starts. I will have 4 days to choose from so I'm hoping we will have low crowds like you mentioned Mickey. When do they typically announce the narrator?
One question:
Do the different tiers have different seating areas? Or is that just for the dining pricing?

How long is the show? For those who have seen it, would a 5 and 8 year old (both girls who are pretty well behaved and patient) sit through it?

I would say that the show is a little bit less than an hour. Only you know what your children can do,so you'll have to make that decision whether to go or not.

If I can remember correctly,it was very near the time of the shows to start before the list of celebrity narrators came out. Even then, there are sometimes last-minute substitutions. Last year I was going to see Roy Disney over Thanksgiving weekend, when 48 hours before I found out that Edward James Olmos was substituted at the last minute. I went anyway because I love EJO,but it can change that fast.

Narrators

Will the narrators be posted on here when they're announced? I'd really like to know who's gonna be doing it this year. My chorus performed last year, and we intend to perform again this year. We look forward to it enormously :)
