Mousesavers.com is reporting that Disney has released two additional codes for discounts on rooms for Fall, 2002.

Ask for Code CLS and get a room at a Disney Moderate resort for $89 between 8/25/02 and 10/2/02. That's a 33% discount! Similar discounts also available at the Deluxe resorts. (No discounts at the All Stars with this code.) You must book by 7/8/02. Appeared in the Disney Catalog in late May 2002.

Ask for Code CQR and get a room at a Disney Value (All Star) resort for $59 or at a Moderate for $89 between 8/25/02 and 10/2/02. You must book by 7/8/02.

Wow, they just keep extending the discounts, huh? Do you think this means they're worried that, without the discounts, they wouldn't draw many people? I know the parks and resorts have been pretty crowded lately. And, with hours going late through the summer(at least for now), they obviously expect some large crowds. What does everyone think re: the relationship between discounts and crowds?:dazed :wow: ;)

Jeff, as with all codes, the number of rooms available for these two codes are limited. Disney opporates similar to an airline, they sell a set amount of rooms at a discounted rate, for people who have the codes, or ask a travel agent about them, and then sell the rest at either slightly discounted rates or at full rate.

During the Fall and Spring, it is often very common to have several codes available at one time, and during the summer, it is usually difficult to find codes. My guess is that Disney is pressing to get people to stay on property. They will be opening up almost 10,000 rooms in the next 12 months, and they would like them as full as possible. I don't think they are worried about crowds in general, mostly filling their hotel rooms.

How far in advance does Disney post discounts for their resorts? We are planning a trip in early Feb. '03 and if we can get that great a discount, we should probably wait to book our hotel. You just have the best information on this site!!!

I'm leaving on October 6th. does anyone know when discounts for that time period may be made available? if at all?

Disney, if they have discount codes at all, usually releases them a couple of months in advance. I would expect there to be codes for both of your times, since they are both off season. Keep your eyes peeled during the next couple of month. I would expect fall annual passholder rates to be announced any day.

If you are interested in adding package components to your vacation, there are two new codes that will get you some great rates:

* Code CQS gives you a room at the CLS/CQT rates plus Ultimate Hopper Passes - sample price for a 7-night package at Animal Kingdom Lodge in a savannah view room for a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) would be $2551.

* Code CQQ gives you a room at the CLS/CQT rates in an abbreviated Discovery Magic package (no fireworks/parade viewing) - sample price for a 5-night package at Port Orleans in a king bed room for a couple (2 adults) would be $2118
