Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

I have gone to Tomorrow land in the past because I just love the Alien Encounter... but since it has been shut down for a Lilo and Stitch ride.. I am not sure where we will head now... but I voted for Tomorrowland I still tend to go there first I still like the people mover. LOL.. Judy

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

At the park opening, we always go straight for Tomorrowland first and do Space Mountain (grabbing a Fastpass as we leave). Then it's back to Main Street for breakfast at the best bakery at WDW!

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

I go to Adventureland...and straight through the breezeway into Frontierland on my way to my Laughing Place!!! And God forbid anyone who gets in my way!

Long-time DCers will recall the story of my first trip to WDW after Splash opened...I figured, at 25, that I didn't need to run for a ride. Well, after a motoring-mama took me out with a stroller, cursing at me the whole time, it's no-holds-barred for me.

Last September was probably the funniest Splash Dash ever. Our group of 7.5 (sister was pregnant) was ready to go through the breezeway at rope drop. My 4-year old DD wanted to boot it in the stroller, and she knew Dad was game. But my mom and my wife were doing their best to restrain the biggest Disney fanatic in the group, but lost complete control when Poppy (my dad), a very fit runner, booted past everybody in an all-out dash. All semblance of control was lost...my DD and I kept pace handily. We were second boat out...and when we did the first pass out the front of the ride, there was my sister, camera in-hand, trying to take a picture through the tears 'cuz she was still laughing. She managed to get some digital video of the three of us running off...

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

We hop the train first and get off at the Adventure Land Station. It saves on walking. We then go counter clockwise in the park and come out in Tomorrow Land as our last stop (besides Main St. and the shops ). You also avoid the crowd rushing in Main St.

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

We usually hit Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain first. Early you can ride 2 or 3 times with no wait! After the Frontier Mountains, it's the Haunted Mansion and the Pirates, plus Jungle Cruise. All six of my kids like to start and finish there.

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

Okay, I had to sit here with a confused look on my face for the longest time while I figured this out. I always go to Splash Mountain first, so for the life of me I could not figure out why Critter Country wasn't an option! LOL. See what working at Disneyland will do to your brain?

I voted Adventureland, because I do exactly what Buzz does...slip through the passageway into Frontierland! My trips to WDW are not complete unless the first thing I do is Splash.

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

when going to MK, i go straight for the castle. i just want to look at it, soak it in, take a picture in front of it and then carry on through the park. for some reason, after the castle, we seem to go left to frontier land and make our way to fantasyland. we kind of go clockwise around the castle.

Hey! You stole my Avatar!

Oh wait... no you didn't.

What in Tomorrowland disappoints you? I'm confused.

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

We head to Fanstasyland and straight to Dumbo to get that out of the way first. The lines get too long for that later in the day. We usually do Pooh after Dumbo. That will definitely change when the kids get older, but for now that's been the routine for the past several years.

I usually hit Casey's first for a hot dog. They rule! Then I hit the Haunted Mansion. Oddly enough, I almost never go to Mickeys Toontown Fair.

Re: When going to the Magic Kingdom, where do you go first?

TomorrowLand dissapoints me due to the fact that it is not very Tomorrow. When I was a kid I was into the optimistic view of the future, now their view is not very optimistic. Construction everywhere shows that there may be a 'great big, beautiful tomorrow', but when the walls are removed it typically shows that something has been removed to make way for yet another store. Too many stores, not enough attractions!

I wish they would use the 50's - 70's view of tomorrow as well as a new optimistic view of what the future may hold, not just signs reading: "We are reimagineering this attraction" Futuristic, yes... Interesting, NO!

And this concludes this installation of the KlarkKent007 rant.

By the way DarthTortoise: "is it Drinky Drinky Time @ Will's, yet?"
