sometimes but thats not about Disney it fear of heights but love of coasters.

just like flying-- have you ever thought how many times a day each ride goes round and how many people ride on each one? the injury rate is a very small %.

having said that i would hate it to be me or one of my loved ones. i think Disney and all the major parks do all they can to maintain safety. after all they do not want one drop of bad publicity. nowadays with 24 hour world wide news and info places like this and YOUTUBE the bad press soon hits the streets.

i have seen many TV programs about coasters and parks. the work that goes into safety is unbelievable. they do not take it lightly and are fully trained professionals that look after the rides not high school kidz filling in time, sure there are some of these kidz packing us into our ride but the workings of the ride is were most problems come from and are resolve.

Re: Do you consider the possible danger when boarding a Disney ride?

To be quite honest, it's never crossed my mind. Even with the incidents at Mission Space and Tower of Terror I continue to feel my safest at WDW parks.

I actually have never thought of the danger because most of the time when people get hurt its cause of stupid things that they have done. I follow the directions so I don't worry about getting hurt.

I never consider it, partly because that's the kind of person I am, but mostly because based on the amount of people that visit DL and WDW every day of the year compared to the amount of incidents that have occured, I'd have to say those attactions are pretty darn safe. It's not an issue for me.

Re: Do you consider the possible danger when boarding a Disney ride?

I never like anything bad could happen when I go to Disney. But I do get that feeling in other theme parks, especially six flags, great adventure in NJ and most traveling carnival rides.

Re: Do you consider the possible danger when boarding a Disney ride?

I've only thought about it when there is a pit one of my kids could fall into. Some rides have an open area between the cars or on the track. I mean its nothing I really 'think' about; its just more of a split second protective parent passing thought that says be careful.

Honestly I never consider the danger..My thinking is that if we follow the rules and have no health issues, we'll be fine.

How did they get hurt on that? Was it the moving walkway? My DD took a nose dive down the ramp as you exit, but that's cause the kid was running after I told her many times NOT to run down that thing.

I never think about it for myself, but I am always telling the kids to "keep their arms and legs inside the vehicle", and triple checking their buckles.

I always tell DD to check her harness when we are on RnR...I just want to make sure it locked in place...who doesn't though?
