Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I'd love to go at Christmas. My dream is wake up at OKW on Christmas morning with my whole family there. Oddly enough, going to the parks on that day isn't even part of my dream - just being together at our favourite place in the world is what appeals to me. I'd even cook a turkey!

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
of course - for any holiday - it's best to be with FAMILY, but at least once in a lifetime everyone should experience DISNEY at Christmas!
The LIGHTS! The SHOWS! The DECORATIONS! The PARADES! and THE SNOW! Where else - in the WORLD - can someone get all that?!?!??!? It is quite an experience - one to be never forgotten! We've spent several Christmas's at Disney with the "whole" family - I wouldn't change it. Matter of fact, now that the kids are grown, we've begun to be the extended part of the family. IF I could - I'd go back in time and spend all those holidays all over with my children in exactly the same way. We are teachers, so we were able to arrive a few days before the "crowds" around December 19. Then as the crowds arrived, we could just enjoy "vacation" without waiting in lines - had been there and done that earlier! But that was the time to visit all the hotels, the MarketPlace and all the extras. PS. Just added my countdown calendar. If it's not working properly, can someone help me with it? Thanks.

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I have to agree, this is the best time year to be at WDW. The temps are just great. We were at WDW from 12/19-1/3 and the crowds were very light up until Christmas day. Then watch out, boy was it crowded. I would love to go again either before Christmas or after the New year.

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I spent New Year's Eve 2003 into Jan 1,2004 at WDW. My mother and I went because we wanted to experience it once. We hit three parks- MK first, although we didn't do anything there due to the crowds. We hit the afternoon parade at MGM and had H&V and went to Fantasmic(6:30 show),and then hot-footed it to Epcot for Illuminations. We didn't do any attractions because we knew we'd never get in. I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
Christmas time is my DH's favorite time of year to go. We go during the beginning of December though. My DH hates crowds so much that I dont think I could get him near DW the week between Christmas and New Years.

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I just would not go to the MK New Years Eve. The time we were there for that, we could not move all we could only stand in one spot and look straight up in the air to watch the fireworks at midnight, but the next year we went to epcot and it was great.. crowded but great....so if I had the chance to go to DISNEY I would never turn it down...šošJudy

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
We went for Xmas in 2002. It was fabulous. Nothing like it. Don't get stressed about the crowds either. MK is busy on the 25th but we went to AK that day and it was fine. Much shorter lines than in the Summer.
We spent a week up at Universal before coming to WDW for 10 days on the 18th December. The atmosphere is electric. Just being at Downtown ( which is free ! ) is a different experience. Oh and apologies on behalf of my English compatriots who were so stupid and rude to TMOISAN. I can assure you that we're not all like that in England. |

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
Before Christmas? Sure thing. The week before Christmas and New Years? No thanks. We suffered through spring break crowds this year so no way could you get me there for Christmas day.

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
We are thinking of going the week before christmas,18 to 23rd. From what I am reading it seems this would be a very good time to go, crowds not to bad, and still get the christmas effect. Am I correct?
