Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
We have spent the Christmas break week at WDW and loved it!

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
As much as I would love to wake up Christmas morning and be in WDW, I don't think I ever will. I do not want to experience the crowds or the cost that it will bring. I would prefer to catch the lights and holiday decore in the off season of December. Crowds no not equal fun to me.

I said "only for a special occassion." Number one: I'm a poor college student. Number two: ain't no way I would fight those crowds. You'd have to pay ME to be claustrophobic for a few days. :p

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I would do it if I could not go any other time and if I have friend or family going at that time.... but I will not do the MK on New Years any more... Epcot was great I have not tried MGM and AK is closed at that time...ºoºJudy

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I voted, if the prices were reduced, but I forgot how busy it can be. I would say probably not. I do not do well waiting in line, that is why we do the parks Comando Style and we go in February.

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
At the risk of repeating this...............I didn't feel that the crowds at WDW the week from the 18th December to 24th December were anywhere near as busy at it was in the summer. Yes it got too busy at MK on Christmas Day so we gave that a miss but the lines at AK weren't long at all..........nothing compared to July. Even the 3 days after Christmas Day were okay.............certainly not enough to put anyone off going.
Also you must get tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party too. Put these ingredients into a pot , mix it all together and see what you get : Magic Kingdom Nightime Xmas Snow falling from the sky Free Hot Chocolate and cookies Special shows Special Parade Special Firework Display Limited number admission ( less people ! ) Access to all the rides I think you get the picture.............oh and I almost forgot you get a free one of those too. |

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
December is the best time to go. Great cool weather. It can be crowded but everyone seems to be in a better mood because of the holidays so it isnt as bad as in the summer. In the summer people seem to get pushy, and rude. The hot weather doesn't help.
I DEFINITELY would go, and usually do go in December. |

Don't just promise yourself BusyMom5x.............DO IT............DO IT NOW !
Joking aside .....'cos I know it's not cheap to go at Xmas.........but if you put it off and put it off and end up never doing it you'll regret it believe me. That's what happened to us.............so we just went for it. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT THE WORLD TODAY. |

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
I'm really sorry to hear that.........and I hope I didn't offend you at all .........but do you know what ? When we went it was not long after I'd been laid off from my job and it turned out to be the greatest boost ever. It was our first ever trip away from home at Christmas...........we had always spent it with family but decided we needed something special and , as you already know ,Disney has this way of making you forget all your troubles if only for a short while. You check all your " baggage" at the door and let the Magic take over.
I sincerely hope you get to make this trip someday soon. Last edited by Rob Parsons; 08-09-2004 at 12:40 PM. |

Re: Would you visit WDW between Christmas and New Years?
Cost doesn't really bother me cause I have family who live in St. Cloud so we have a free place to stay, and they work at WDW, so we get into the parks for free. My only problem would be the crowds. No biggie really. I'd go.
