Will the new Magic Your Way park passes entice you to stay longer?

So, the new passes are basically the same price for 4 days as 7 days. Will you now stay longer because of the reduced ticket price?

Sure!! We have stayed outside of WDW everytime that we went.

With the prices that they are quoting...it would cost the same thing outside of WDW as in, plus the tickets and meals will be so much cheaper!! I can't wait to book a trip with this deal!!!

Unfortunately, we still only have so many vacation days (and I'm still self-employed, so each day away is no income coming in!). So the tickets won't make any diff to us at all, but I'll probably always buy a 10 because I"ve always bought ahead (have a couple left over PH's right now to use up - and will have the pluses on them to take us through at least one set of 10's).

I guess I'm missing something. I went to the Disney web site and looked at the "Magic Your Way" thing. I didn't see anything different. I saw the same price for the value hotel. $77.00 Now I go for 9 days at a time. That is $693.00 and I haven't even gotten into the park. Even when you use the passes, they will expire 14 days after first use. Now how is that fair? You don't use them; you get the loss of money.

As I have gone to Disney the past three times, I paid no more than $32.00 per night for a room. That was at a Fairfield at that. It was a really nice place. I would stay at a Fairfield any day. Not to mention the free breakfast that you get every morning. Now, I do know that you still have to drive and park, and carry your bags back to the car when you buy something. But, even with that, I have still saved, $400.00. That more than pays for the $316.00 ticket to get in for 7 days. Hey, I got to go for free.

So, if you stay for 9 days, that would be:

$693.00 for room
$316.00 for Tickets
$90.00 for Breakfast

A Total of $1099.00

If I go, it's only:

$288.00 for room
$316.00 for Tickets
$0.00 for Breakfast

A total of $604.00
I have save $495.00

Ok, you don't get all the cool stuff if you stay on site. Yes I know this but, for $100.00, I can twice!

So, please, help me see this difference.

I am in the midst of already planning our 2007 trip. We are moving back to Hawaii this summer and will have to fly to WDW on our next trip, so I want to stay as long as we can afford. With the new tickets it is hard to say no to one more day when it is only a $1 per person difference in the ticket price. Right now we are planning a 7-9 night stay and we would have never done this before the new tickets came out.

I know the prices of the resorts didn't change BUT we have stayed off site every single trip until this last time and DH says we'll never stay offsite again. It is more expensive to stay onsite but the ambiance, the pools, the bus transportation and not having to drive back to the hotel in town each time we leave the park is worth it! Not to mention we don't have to pay the $10 to park at each theme park even if we decide to drive from our hotel on property..b/c hotel guests get free parking.

Plus you get early magic hour(which we really enjoyed!) and now the 3 hours extra you get in the park at night. That alone is worth the price of the package in my eyes!

Since we have always gone for two weeks, the new tickets will not change our plans. We only get to go once a year and since we fly, it has always made sense for us to stay as long as possible since getting there and renting a car costs so much.

I alrady have my trip planned for July of 2005. I booked before the magic your way program came out. I am currently booked for 6 days with the silver plan. Is it better for me to re-book the package? I know I have the option, but am not sure what to do. Please help! Thanks
