Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

Hey Msellusion, welcome to Disney Central!!!
I will be spending Christmas here with my mom, dad, wife, best friend, and Chloe, Bo, Charlie, Mona, and Abbey (2 Great Danes, 2 Terriers, and a Chiuhaua). Should be a rather full house.

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

I'll be staying home, and relatives will come here to open presents, eat, etc. I work for the Post Office, so we can never get time off in December. The week after Christmas is possible, but difficult to get. Some year I would love to go to Disney World to see it all decorated for Christmas, and see the Christmas entertainment. That is one of my biggest goals!!

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

All our plans are on hold now...My DW has a pretty bad flu. She tried hard to give it to me but I successfully fought it off (I feel much better today).

I'm hoping she turns the corner today...

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

We are staying home this year. It will be our first Christmas on our own. We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family (about 40 of us at my parents house) and then we split Christmas Day between my husband's family and my family. It is going to seem pretty strange with it being just the 4 of us, but we will make the best of it. A friend of ours agreed to dress up as Santa and come visit the kids ( a usual tradition since I was a baby) so at least we will be keeping some of our usual routines.

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

We're visiting family "close by"...just down the street, actually. Hehe. It's a little weird for me, because it's the first time I haven't spent Christmas with MY side of the family, in Oregon. But marriage brings lots of new experiences, that's for sure!

OY! What a horrible place to work during the holidays! Bummer. I run an eBay business, and make trips to the post office 4-5 times per week. I'm pretty happy-go-lucky about waiting in a 40-minute line just to mail one package, but I see the way other people treat postal workers this time of year. It's like a movie, where you expect a cheesy version of "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" to start playing...LOL.

Chast and I are staying home for Christmas Day. Christmas Eve we had lunch with a good friend, then went to midnight mass at church. Today has been a quiet lovely day so far.

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

BF and I spent Christmas Eve with his mom and sister who are in town. We stayed at home Christmas morning cooked a big breakfast and did our gifts, ate lunch at his dad's, then ate dinner at my parent's. Not too bad, but I'd rather just two of us stay at home all day. And now he's at work, so it's just me :(

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

Well for me I never expected Christmas to be like it was this year. I managed to have Xmas eve and Xmas off last year, So I signed up to work it this year on a 12 hour shift so some other people could have it off to be with there families. To my surprise enough people signed up with more seniorty then me that I was forced into having the day off. I found out to late to make any plans to head home for the holidays so I spent most of today sleeping. it was a nice change I didn't get up till 1pm. it was a rainy day down here in fact it poured so there wasn't a ton to do.

I spent Christmas Eve at work ~ afterwards, Stu and I took the kids to church for midnight mass. Christmas morning we spent at home and this afternoon, we went to my mothers who is only 2 miles away. It was a nice day.

Here's my "boys" this afternoon at moms house.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day wherever it was spent!

Re: What are you doing for Christmas this year?

We spent a week with my husband's family before Christmas and then they came home with us on Christmas eve. On Christmas day they went with us to my family gathering. Only one more big gathering to go.
