Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

Starting May 5, Disney will be offering complimentary transportation from the Orlando airport to Walt Disney World, plus in room luggage delivery. Will you be using the service?

Re: Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

If we fly in to Orlando I may have to really think about this, after all, it's free right now I hear. We are thinking about flying my inlaws in and meeting them at the airport as we arrive in town. This may be an option for them so we don't have to worry about getting to Orlando at the same time they arrive.

I always wondered why disney didn't have this service to begin with. I really like this idea.

Re: Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

I think we'll use it at least the first time around. We never go at peak times, so that helps. I can't imagine using this service during the summer or Easter. But even if it is a bad experience, it can still go on the list as a Disney experience.

We will definitely use the DME. My sister & I meet in Orlando, but she comes in from WY. and I arrive from NH, which means i arrive 4 to 5 hours before her. I wait for her at the airport, to save money on trasnportation to the resort. With the Disney Magical Express, I could go to the resort (this time the Poly) and wait for her there, while getting a head start on my Disney fix. yeah! I'm so glad that this will be available soon. Not quite in time for our January trip, but it will be nice in the future.

03/04 AKL
11/04 DL Hotel
01/05/21 to 01/28/05 Polynesian/Concierge YEAH!

This is a wonderful idea and I would definitely use it, especially if it is free! My motto has always been, if it's free it's for me!

Re: Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

I know I'm going against the majority here, but since I drive to Disney,I wouldn't use this service,so I wish Disney would charge for it,so they wouldn't raise the cost of rooms to pay for it.

Now they just have to extend the monorail to the airport.

Re: Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

Nope. I like using the towncars and having a car for just me and my DD that drops me directly to my resort and takes me to the resort right away not after we wait for a bus to fill. I don't care if it's free.

Re: Will you use the new Disney Magical Express?

Yes if it is free, and maybe after that...depending on the cost and reliability of service. If it takes 3 hours to get to my resort, then no. Since I travel in a party of 2, a towncar is too expensive, so I usually use Mears. Using the Disney service would be convenient, but I sure like the security of seeing my luggage before I leave the airport. Lost luggage would be a real bummer!

That is a thought, but if it was my first trip I'd probably get lost in the airport for three hours. Something else I just thought of, if your bags just appear in your room, does that mean there will be no "I don't care for that room, can you move me to ????" when you check in?

We always Drive, so it really would be for us. However, I can see where it would be good for those who would fly if it works as planned.
