Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

It seems a cell phone has become a part of the human anatomy for some people. Do you take it to Disney, or leave it home?

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Yes, we always take our cell. I like to be available for info from home. My Dad is older and I worry when I'm gone. We also leave our dogs at the kennel and I worry about them, too!

My kids know my cell number, so I like to think that if they got lost, someone could contact me!

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Yep my family of 5 has 4 cell phones. And it doen't cost anything to talk amongst each other cell to cell while in WDW.
Wanted to vote for both options - staying in touch with those at home and in Disney - NO WORK!!

I always take mine everywhere I go, Disney included. I like to have it to stay in touch with family and for emergencies also. It has saved me on several occasions.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Yes we take our Cell with us wherever we go...we generally use them to coordinate our movements. Example: DW wants to continue shopping while I want to gnaw on a turkey leg. While gnawing on my Turkey Leg I can walk around and explore. When I get to that last bite I can call DW and ask her if she is interested in a nibble or if she wants me to pick up a leg or something for her...really sometime I will run ahead and get fastpass for us while she finishes up "shopping". Call back with the return time maybe catch a ride on something with short ride on my way to our meet up local.

But my favorite think to do is call my sister (if she isn't with us) and rub it in her face that I'm at Disney

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

I'm always so worried that we will get seperated, so both DH and I take them with us. It is nice to just call and say where did you run off to? Where can we meet?
So I obviously voted for to keep in touch with those with me.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Of course!!! I'm one of those people who's attached to their cell. I feel so naked without it. We use ours to call home and check on things, keep up in the parks, etc. Lucky for us, we still get service in S FL.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

My DH has to have his phone with him, but he leaves it in the room. It is our vacation time after all. Being a busy 'public servant' he DOES need to check his messages once a day when away for a while.
That's alright with me so long as it doesn't interfere with our time.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Yes. Pinned to the back of each of my small children is a small card that says, "My daddy's cell phone number is...."

I figure if one of my kids gets lost, it would be only a matter of minutes, before the phone range.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Everyone in my family brings theirs. We only have them in case we decide to split up and have to call to meet up later, or if we get lost in a crowd somewhere. I never answer it if anyone but my family calls when I'm in Disney.

Yes, we used ours while there although we found out they had to be on vibrate because we could not hear the rings over the crowds.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

No! Cell phone takes vacation in the hotel room.....used only to call back home maybe once during vacation. My vacation, my magic, my way! Resort # is given to family members for emergency only! My honey and I style around the parks together without getting separated! And it is so nice to get a break from the cellular chain!
Be good to yourselves!

Same with us, we take them for both staying in touch with each other and calling people back home. Since I could only pick one I voted for using them to stay in touch at WDW.

Re: Do you take your cell phone to Disney?

Yes it is a must have for us. We can keep in touch with each other and on the back of the GH Badge for each kid is my cell phone number. Never know when or if they might need it but the phone number is there.
