I just found this out ----

I am visiting a friend in California that week and I will be at Disneyland on THE DAY!!!!!

(BTW: Disneyland celebrates ITS 50th just 12 days before I celebrate MY 50th.)

Great things happened in 1955! (DW also was born that year, but we don't discuss that - lol)

We would love to be at WDW!!! However, we just got back and they were having an awesome party and some great fun. Gotta love WDW!!!

OK, does anyone know if DL and/or DW will be doing anything special that day? I would love to find out since we will be in WDW for our last day and we would like to prepare in advance.

DL will be, but if you're not already set up 4 it...Good Luck! There's few rooms left if at all in any hotel within 10 mi. of DL. Don't really know about WDW. I'm sure they'll do something though.

By the middle of the 17th I should be about two thirds through Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! It comes out on the 16th; I'm sure even if I were in WDW, I wouldn't be able to resist finding an air-conditioned spot to devour it!

I will be at home. While I love Disney World, I can't imagine fighting the crowds and the heat. I prefer the cooler months with less crowds.
