I just find it interesting. (I'm nerdy that way). If I was to look at the two resorts for the first time, I would probably say BCV too - it's all in the perception. It's reasonable that people would choose BCV. There it sits, on a beautiful lake, all shining white, and because of the boat to Epcot, many, many more people see it. Unless you've stayed there, no one really "sees" OKW. But all those trees hide an outstanding resort. Epcot is my favourite park, so I love the closeness of BCV - but I'd stay at BWV if I had the choice. I was so excited to be staying at BCV but then was kinda disappointed, once we got there. Our villa was shabby - and that shocked me, because it was so new - and small - and c'mon all you DVC members, admit it - don't all those doors to the bathroom drive you crazy! I could never figure out what I was opening. lol.

I guess the bottom line to me is that OKW makes me feel like I really am "Home". OKW was the first DVC property and as CM's have told me - Disney didn't "skimp" on anything. That's pretty obvious to anyone who's stayed there - just as it's pretty obvious that Disney has "cut corners" in their newer DVC properties. So - location-wise, BCV would win. But villa-wise, and atmosphere-wise, OKW is far ahead.

The only one of the 3 we have stayed at is OKW. Our room was pretty big and I loved being able to drive up to the front of the room.
We have also stayed at the VWL and loved them. We are staying next at BWV. I fell into the looks categary and chose BCV.

I totally agree with llama. How can you rate a place you've never stayed at. And the housekeeping sucked there as well! SSR was bad also. I worked at Disneyland, so maybe my expectations are too high for Disney, but when you pay good money, you should expect only the best. If I had to rank the 5 DVC resorts at WDW, it goes; VWL, OKW, BWV, SSR, and bringing up the rear is BCV.

OKW is the best resort! Tons of room and a homey feel that makes me actually want to spend time in my room. Weird.
