I haven't stayed at either but I love both! I chose BC, though, because it is right next to Boardwalk and Epcot, plus the beach!!!

I voted for the Beach Club. As I'm sure y'all would guess, with my country upbringin, I'm not much of a ritzy kinda guy... So the laid back beach setting is more my speed...

Although GF is the ultimate, I can't really imagine staying there. BC is awesome and DS would love everything about it. Just can't imagine my 2 1/2 yo tornado at GF!

This was a tough choice. Have stayed at both (BC mult. times). Loved the upscale of the GF, but went with the BC, as it was close to Epcot & MGM, the pool and our fav. night life place... Jelly Rolls!!!

I voted Beach Club b/c I think it has a more laid back charm BUT just as elegant. The location near the Boardwalk & EPCOT is amazing too!

Re: Death Match: Grand Floridian vs. Beach Club

Beach Club over GF, but only slightly. Storm-A-Long Bay is "worth the price of admission" as they say. We love Epcot and MGM, so at the Beach Club, we're there. Not to mention the available restaurants between the BC/YC/BW/Dolphin/Swan/Epcot/MGM. Can't beat it.
The GF is absolutely gorgeous and it is the flagship resort. Great restaurants too. Beach Club is my favorite though. I'd give it the nod.

I chose GF for the staff was so accommodating and friendly. It's also a beautiful resort.

Very good memories in the Grand Floridian!

Beach Club.

It's almost like renting a condo on the Sound side, on my beach. Plus I have this thing for Solariums...

I'm sure the Grand Floridian is wonderful though.

It is gorgeous isn't it. Nice place to just sit and do nothing!
At times I wish they'd turn it into a bar or something w a TV, but other times, it is perfect as is.

It is wonderful. I haven't been to that one yet, but I've seen pictures. Love it. BC is definately on my to-do list... someday!
My parent's house has an awesome 2 story solarium. I used to love (and still do!) to lay on the floor and watch the storm clouds overhead. It's now a requirement for any house that I plan to own.

Beach Club. GF seems a little to stuffy for my taste.

Re: Death Match: Grand Floridian vs. Beach Club

The only reason that I chose GF is because it is a monorail resort and I have never stayed at one before. Otherwise, I love staying over at the Boardwalk area!!!!!!
