How much more per night would you pay for High Speed internet in your resort room?

So, we all here are internet junkies, and many of us need access to the internet on vacation for business or personal reasons. How much more per night would you pay for high speed internet access in your resort room.

Walt Disney World has way too many fun things to do to be on the computer like we are at home all the time. We go on vacation to get away from reality!:)

I voted for $0.00. I do not find a need to use the Internet while I am away!!

I *could* almost see paying $5.00 extra, but no more than that! Eventually, it would seem...in the future...that this will be a common thing in all the rooms, and therefore just be reflected in all the room rates!

I guess I am just a junkie, but I would love to have high bandwidth access in the room. I made use of the line in the room for dialup access, just so I could post my pictures from each day. It was a great way to let friends and family see what was going on while we were vacationing. I would of course only do this in the evenings when we were in our rooms to stay. With high bandwidth I could post my video as well.

:)

For the amount of money Disney charges, they should do it for free! A fax machine in the room should be extra. EXTRA things should be extra. But we've now moved into an age where internet access is no longer an "extra". The phone is there. The internet connection should be too. If they've already got separate "date ports" that are just phone lines (right?), I'm sure the things are somehow wired to be switched over to a Disney network or something in the future. The only reason dial up access doesn't work is because with pictures and everything they've made it impossible to do anything on the internet with dialup. It's like how computers need multiple gigs of memory now, when we managed just fine with under a gig for years! Five dollars for a "week" stay (5-7) days sounds fine, but at $5 PER day, that would surpass my monthly dial up bill!!! And that's insane. Especailly as no one spends time in their rooms much anyway to be using it. Plus, I DO like to have a vacation from internet demands while away -- but I DO want to be able to send photos to people as the lousy mail system NEVER gets my postcards out BEFORE I get back despite mailing them the second day I'm there!

I'd have to agree with the majority that I too would "leave" the computer at home and forget the Internet for a week, but for a "working" vacation i would say high speed access would be worth $10.00 a day at least so i could get my crap done sooner than later, and so i don't miss my PS at CRT!!!:D

I go on vacation to get away from all my realities in life. I can't take a 'working' vacation (but what an idea.......) so I really don't have a need to even take a computer along.

Internet access

I voted for 10.00 a day. I found that having Internet access was wonderful on my last vacation. I patched in to may network and took care of a couple brush fires. I allocated one hour at 6:30 every evening to check mail and do what I needed. Broadband would be fabulous. I have one question, I am staying in a Fort Wilderness cabin this June. Do they have data ports? Is there a charge to use to use them if you use a local ISP?

I am hoping that I will not need as much time online as this will be my fifth trip to WDW and I know the time schedules, but love every minute of the hussle and bussle.

I don't even have a computer with me on vacations. Now if the rooms provided Internet and Computers I may check in before bed to say Hi or something. But otherwise I escape Reality when i go to Disney, and the net is part of regular life to me. BTW... if I had to choose a price I would say $0, it should be a perk not an extra.

By the time I get to the room all I want to do is sleep or go for a swim! Plus, it is fun to come home and catch up on all I missed! I guess if I really needed it for business I would be willing to pay the $5 per night.

I'm self employed, and quite often don't tell my clients I'm on vacation. I have a web-enabled phone that I've been using to do email, and if I can't give them a reasonable deadline for after I get home, then I'll schlep off to find a computer somewhere. I've had to do that only once.

In December, though, we brought our laptop, and I was greatful, since I did need it, but I just let it run it's thing all night.

I still don't want to pay extra for high-speed though. Got enough expenses when I go away, like mickeybars, and frozen sodas, and souveniers, and goofy hats, and...

We bring our laptop with us on vacation to pay bills or transfer more money in to our checking account (just in case we find something we CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT....!)

We have all the bills registered into the system, and in just a few clicks, they're paid!! I'd rather pay them when they are due, since it is so easy, than to pay them 2 weeks ahead of time (before we leave home for our trip).

5 minutes a day, and that's it!! I wouldn't want to pay any extra for the perk, though. Dial up is okay with me.

Internet Cafe

Why doesn't Disney have an Internet Cafe; so people who need to check in don't have to carry a lap top with them.
I think this is a good idea, don't you?

They do, in several areas. Each resort has an internet station in or near the main lobby. There are also stations within each of the parks. You can also use free stations at DisneyQuest, and I've *heard* Epcot, but haven't found that one yet.
