we are not the cruise type of family but we have talked about it on and off ..the only kind of cruise we would go on if we did would have to be disney. so I chose if the price was right, we would go.

I'm curious as to where it would cruise to? Your stop-over points are fairly limited... Mexico? You cannot cruise Hawaii (by law) without visiting a foreign port.
Also, removing Disney's private island from the mix would be sure to disappoint some. I doubt they'd have the extra dough right now to spring for a Pacific island. :)

The mere thought of Disney cruising out of L.A. has me dancing aroung the house. Living in California, cruises out of Florida are kinda a pain, considering you loose two days to travel alone. Not to mention the time change and the xtra air fare. Sign me up!

Krafty,
What's up with the Hawaii & foreign port law? Sounds odd. On a Travel Channel special, they mentioned that Disney would eventually like a fleet of 10-12 ships. I'd love to see one leave from the Pacific Northwest going to Alaska and back...but there wouldn't be an easy park tie-in. How about Pacific Northwest to Japan and Tokyo Disney? :) Bruce

I voted maybe if the price was right (that is if it is Los Angeles). Los Angeles is just about 1 1/2 hr. flight from here so it would be convinient, however, we still go to WDW every year and never DL so I guess to tell the truth it wouldn't make much difference.:D

I think it would be nice. Visit disneyland, then a cruise!
Alaska would be beautiful, as well as HAWAII. Hawaii would also have a natural connection to lilo & Stitch, and the imagineers would have a good time making good use of that. :) Den

When the choice is between Los Angeles and Cocoa Beach, why would anyone choose LA? Okay, so y'all live in CA!
It would be a nice link with DL but I would never go to DL either. Did that about 40 years ago! :nooo: LA is just such a hassle and the drive from Orlando to Cocoa is less than it would take to get out of the parking lot in LA. And then there's the private island. :) :) :)

Sorry, the LA is short for Los Angeles. While it is also possible that they could depart from LA (Louisiana), it is more likely that California would be first, with Disneyland being only a couple of miles from the dock.
Krafty, there are currently as many cruises leaving from LA as from Port Canaveral each week. The Mexical Riviera is a nice place to stop. I agree about the private island though, they would need to recreate that in some way or another.

I voted "if the price was right". It would be awesome to sail off from the west coast.
We've done a bunch of cruises, always out of FLA or NY. They are super great and fun. But now that we have a 2 y/o we probally won't see a ship again till he's at least 6 or 7.
